Betty Who joining Lemaitre on a fresh and funky new tune is a dream come true. We’ve been fans of the Australian pop sensation for a very long time, and we love the new music she’s been releasing now that she’s gone back to an independent career, too. She lends that irresistible voice to Norwegian electronic project Lemaitre’s scintillating new song, Rocket Girl, which was co-written with DagnyWe fly across the universe with them, riding high on Lemaitre’s French house-styled electro, so rife with sumptuous funk guitar and juicy plump synths. Suddenly, I’m imagining Grimes dancing to Rocket Girl alongside Elon Musk as he launches one of his Falcon 9′s. Seems fitting, doesn’t it? Rocket Girl has been tapped as the theme song for X Games Norway, which kicked off yesterday. Lemaitre will be performing at Sasquatch on May 25 and Austin City Limits Festival in October. Stream/download Rocket Girl, here.

French producer Bolivard has captured the essence of both funk in the jungle on his flashy new banger, Maya Funk. If Caribou, Cut Copy, and Daft Punk teamed up for a monumental jam session, it’d probably result in the glorious, glamorous disco funk and electro house that Bolivard has crafted for us on his sensational new tune. The artist, who’s also taken on the role of graphic designer and illustrator at newly minted label Cookie Records, inspires us to strut our way across the room in bliss to his lush dazzler. Maya Funk is the second single revealed off Cookie Records’ Crispy Groove Compilation. Visit the first single, Patawawa’s Lie, via our recent feature, here. Maya Funk is available, here.

Fresh off their collaboration with brassy electro-funk brothers French Horn Rebellion comes new Patawawa jam Lie, a swanky twirling disco banger through and through. Its French house swagger is as infectious as a classic Daft Punk jam, with a whole lot of frisky synths and scalding beats. Patawawa’s put out some fantastic songs in the past, but Lie might be their best yet. It’s a solid gold track that also reminds me of some of my favorite Flight Facilities tracks of yore, due to its rich, sultry vocals and its plucky attitude. LIE is the first song revealed from Cookie Records’ new compilation Crispy Groove, out in early June. Download/stream Patawawa’s swag new tune, here.

I was traipsing through Soundcloud nonchalantly like I always do in the mornings while fast at work, when I encountered this sick track that I knew I had to hop on to share immediately. The lightning bolt jolt that it’s brought me is way better than any rush the coffee I’m having right now could ever give. All hail Pon De Time, Wuki’s absolutely genius mashup of Daft Punk’s timeless hit One More Time and Major Lazer’s 2009 dance classic Pon De Floor. French electro, steely future house, and dancehall meld together exceptionally in Wuki’s hands to become the most exhilarating mashup I’ve come across in ages. Pon De Floor is a free download, here.

My heart palpitated with excitement when I encountered a fresh track from young production whiz k?d last week. A new banger from the genius producer usually sets my heart on fire already, but this time around, k?d has partnered up with veteran magnate Wolfgang Gartner, too. Prepare for a rush of thrills as the duo assaults our ears and pumps us up with some throwback electro house on cinematic and theatrical Banshee, a must for any fan of Justice and Sebastian, but with a harder hitting approach. Banshee would fit right in on Ed Banger Records collection of French house inspired jams. Stream/purchase the exultant thrasher, here.

DJ Snake’s collaboration with Lauv, A Different Way, has been remixed aplenty in these past few months. There’s probably only one other track that might have it beat when it comes to most remixed track of the year, and that’s obviously The Chainsmokers’ Sick Boy, which everyone has been editing lately, or so it seems. French producer Tony Romera gave us one of our favorite dance inducing reworks of A Different Way just a few weeks prior (check out our feature, here). And now he’s followed it up with an even more wicked jam, an exhilarating original titled Hold Up bursting with glamorous French house energy and delirioiusly breaking beats. This is one that will more than satiate your hunger for Daft Punk or Justice right now. A plenteous dose of funky old school hip hop also courses through its vigorous pumping soundscape, giving us a taste of both classic and modern, all at once. Stream/download Hold Up, here.

We’ve loved an endless stream of Peking Duk songs over the years, but they’ve really hit a homerun with their new single, Wasted. The Australian electronic duo bring a whole lot of flashy pizzazz and groovalicious bass with them on the retro-vibing jam. Huge dance pop hooks are intermixed with snazzy electro house and deep pumping disco house on the chic strutting, glamorous twirling extravaganza. Even the video that comes with Wasted is filled with the nostalgia cheesy 70s disco moves and spiffy vintage suits. You might want to string this Peking Duk up with some Chromeo and Daft Punk on your new dance playlist. Streaming/purchasing options are available, here.

There’s been an inordinate amount of remixes when it comes to DJ Snake’s hit single A Different Way, featuring buttery melting vocals by hotly buzzing artist Lauv. And we’ve shared quite a few of them, too. Tony Romera, a producer from Lyon, France, offers up the latest can’t miss remix of A Different Way. He’s turned the track into a synth pumping, dance inducing banger filled to the brim with snazzy French house vibes. I’d imagine this is how a Daft Punk, k?d, and DJ Snake collaboration might sound like. Tony Romera’s remix is robust and electrifying, and it’s a free download, here.

Parisian dance connoisseur and multi-instrumentalist Jean Tonique announced the details of his genre defying album Well Mannered Frivolity through Tonique Records earlier this week. It’s arrival will be pre-empted by the release of a short series of films for some of the albums’ tracks, which kicks off with this peculiarly captivating visualizer for Jean Tonique’s Feel Better Now, a chill grooving electronic track saturated with an unmistakable French electro touch.  Well Mannered Frivolity will be available on CD, vinyl and digitally through all discerning outlets. Pre-order, here, ahead of its February 16th release date.

Myd, a songwriter and producer from Paris, is signed to esteemed French label Ed Banger Records, alongside other beloved producers like Justice, Riton, SebastiAN, Breakbot, and more. So it should come as no surprise that his music is as swanky seductive and glamorously intoxicating as it is on new single The Sun, a spacey spiraling, woozy whirring dose of luminous French pop, nu-disco, and wonky electro. The Sun is like trademark Ed Banger French disco house meets Metronomy and MGMT. It’s lifted from Myd’s forthcoming EP, All Inclusive. You can purchase/stream the single via major outlets, here.
