It’s been a moment since we’ve visited with our favorite dance pachyderm from LA, but now that Elephante has released a terrific preview of his upcoming 9 track EP, it’s high time we delved straight back into the versatile artist’s vibrant music. Glass Mansion: Prologue features four tastes from the forthcoming project, which drops on June 15th. It’s a guest talent studded affair, as all four tracks he’s unveiled feature magnificent vocal cameos. For now, let’s turn our attention to Have It All, featuring ever pervasive chanteuse Nevve. Elephante presents us with an emotive stirring, lithesome skipping pop meets dance song with crisp affecting melodies and metallic thrumming synths. We can’t decide whether to melt into the floor or get up and dance. Maybe we can do both and “have it all”. Pre-order Glass Mansion, here. Diplo and MØ have proven themselves a match made in heaven countless times over the years. Whether it was some of the songs on the Danish pop sensation’s debut album, or her collaborations with Major Lazer, or even earlier this year’s Blender, the production luminary’s style of balmy and buoyant electronica has befit MØ‘s spunky pop to the tee. The pair reunited again earlier this month on Stay Open, a summer verdant, mischievous sparring anthem as bright and contagious as any other track the two have put forth together. Stay Open is out now on Mad Decent. Stream/download, here.

Line this up for anthem of the summer, because this crisp flickering, sweetly polished gem is immediately contagious and a wonderfully heart caressing treat! Do It For Me comes from Josefine, a 24 year old Swedish singer songwriter currently based out of Los Angeles. The lustrous prancing future pop love song features immaculate production by Grammy-award winning producer Justin Trugman (Jojo, Backstreet Boys, etc). The chill, summery electronica and pop single is available on all major platforms, here. Watch Josefine’s lyric video for the song below.

New Zealand’s BAYNK just dropped two fine new tunes the other day, and to miss out on any of those tracks would be nothing short of criminal. The producer enchants us with glossy sleek pop and dreamy burbling electronica on Be In Love. The sprightly prancing, elegantly rippling song is both entrancing and exhilarating, with eloquent keys and chiffon light vocals. In some ways, Be In Love is like Caribou and Sampha, encapsulated in a more subtle and silky soundscape. BAYNK’s new double-A side single also features exultant Years, a satin smooth electronic track that continues to spellbind us to the utmost. Stream Years below. Australia’s Night Tales first dazzled us late last year with their debut single Move You, a deep pumping, dark sweltering electronic ode to unrequited love. The duo, formed by producer Third Floor and singer songwriter Kamaliza (previously of Olympic Ayres), return with an ace new jam named Want, which we can’t stop wanting more of after grooving to our hearts content to the song’s balmy sunset house and silky crooning by guest vocalist fellow Australian songstress Kimono. Chill disco beats, sultry horns, and some sweet RÜFÜS vibes abound on the molten electronic track. Want is out now on Majestic Casual. Find it, here.

For some, dancing is an expression of euphoria. For others, the act of dancing brings us joy and jubilation, even if we’re down on our luck and deep in a funk. For me, it’s often a combination of both. When it comes to Saint Raymond’s Dancing, it’s obviously the latter, too. The UK singer songwriter brings us balmy prancing alt pop and mellifluous and vibrant song, so richly permeated with warm glimmering beats. Dancing is like The Wombats gone Two Door Cinema Club, with some St. Lucia tropical lushness. The ace tune is available, here.

Betty Who joining Lemaitre on a fresh and funky new tune is a dream come true. We’ve been fans of the Australian pop sensation for a very long time, and we love the new music she’s been releasing now that she’s gone back to an independent career, too. She lends that irresistible voice to Norwegian electronic project Lemaitre’s scintillating new song, Rocket Girl, which was co-written with DagnyWe fly across the universe with them, riding high on Lemaitre’s French house-styled electro, so rife with sumptuous funk guitar and juicy plump synths. Suddenly, I’m imagining Grimes dancing to Rocket Girl alongside Elon Musk as he launches one of his Falcon 9′s. Seems fitting, doesn’t it? Rocket Girl has been tapped as the theme song for X Games Norway, which kicked off yesterday. Lemaitre will be performing at Sasquatch on May 25 and Austin City Limits Festival in October. We don’t really believe LINES when they name their song “We Will Never Rule The World”. I’m pretty sure with some sly planning, the Swedish project could take over the globe with their kinetic music. Just listen to LINES’ razor-sharp new single, a prickly slicing dance pop and dark electro-pop jam with thrilling industrial undertones. We Will Never Rule The World features female noise rockers Dolores Haze on guest vocals. They add a whole lot of spice and spunk to the already feisty chopper of a tune. LINES music has been described as “unadulterated euphoric nihilism”. We Will Never Rule The World is easily the quintessential embodiment of that statement with its pulsing beats, frenetic synths, and vociferous vocals. Listen to LINES’ music on Spotify, here.

One of my most epic evenings at SXSW this past March involved Cut Copy. It was the last night of my annual migration to Austin, and I had no idea what to do since most of my music buddies had already left. Serendipity brought me to the band’s headlining set on Rainey Street. I didn’t think I’d be able to get in to the show, since I expected a stupendously long line, but thanks to my music badge, I made it right in and danced to my heart’s content. And now, Cut Copy’s bassist Ben Browning has made a splendorous return with new solo music to keep me moving. We last heard from him two years ago when he dropped exuberant Friends Of Mine. Now he charms us aplenty with a new song appropriately named Sunshine Baby. It’s a golden luscious, sweetly candied, & kaleidoscopic twirling track that melds chromatic italo-wave with glamorous disco funk. Sunshine Baby will be on Ben Browning’s forthcoming sophomore album named Even Though. He says of his next  album, which arrives on June 22nd: “After listening to this record I hope people feel like they’ve gone on a smooth psychedelic journey through a colorful musical world. I wanted to create an album that people would want to play in their homes whilst cooking dinner or getting high and imagine what they’re hearing comes from a land created by Jim Henson – or perhaps they’re listening a lost George Harrison album recorded in the Caribbean and discovered on a VHS tape 30 years later."

If I were one of the “Bodies In A Room” from the title and lyrics of Colin Magalong’s banging new tune, I’d probably be busting out my best dance moves to its luscious disco groove and rambunctious strutting beats. The up-and-coming Los Angeles musician has delivered sonic gold on the wildly infectious song. Bodies In A Room has been compared to JT meets Daft Punk, a pretty accurate appraisal, if you ask me. It’s also very Bruno Mars meets SOFI TUKKER. Colin’s on a quick trajectory upwards after making his debut just two months ago with well-received Blossom. Keep an eye on this guy as the year continues to progress.
