OFFICIAL VID: Prinzhorn Dance School – I Want You

March 31, 2012

Great late day find and share, trust me on this. Check out Prinzhorn Dance School’s I Want You. The single is off their first album since four years ago. The new album, Clay Class, came out not too long ago. I’m not at all familiar with their older work, but this alt rock track has totally thrown them front and center on the map for me. Love it.

Dang, this is wicked. Indie hip hoppers Shabazz Palaces remixed Spank Rock’s Car Song which features Santigold. That was a mouthful to say. Check it out, it’s some awesome stuff… you get some heavy bass, some sweet flow, and Santigold’s seductive crooning all in the same remixed song. GOOD stuff.

Whoa…

March 31, 2012

Kanye West remixed King Of Hearts by Cassie (Diddy’s girlfriend, or whatever his current name is). I thought it was going to be some douchy mix with Kanye rapping all over some shallow hip hop track, but I was surprised. It’s not spectacular, but it’s not bad at all and probably a big improvement on the original track. The background is done fairly well. And no douchy auto-tuned Kanye vocals.

OFFICIAL VID: Regina Spektor – All The Rowboats

March 31, 2012

That spectacular beauty of a dark song All The Rowboats from Regina Spektor has a new video to accompany it now. New album What We Saw From The Cheap Seats drops May 29. Looking forward to it, especially after the impression this lead single has made.

OFFICIAL VID: 2:54 – You’re Early

March 31, 2012

Brit shoegazers 2:54 released another great video and single titled You’re Early. It’s a very satisfying dreamy, guitar filled, indie rock track. Their popularity will definitely continue to rise with quality songs like this. Out of curiosity, I finally looked up what their band name meant. 2:54 is heavily influenced by punk bands, and the name was derived from the “bit where it gets good” in a Melvins song. Mystery solved. But… which song?

OFFICIAL VID: Monster Cat – Underwater

March 30, 2012

Here’s a new video from indie alt rock act Monster Cat for their song Underwater. It’s a great, soothing listen with a ton of horns, which give it an almost jazzy quality at times. The song is on their 5 track debut Mannequins.

OFFICIAL VID: Niki & The Dove – Tomorrow

March 30, 2012

That’s riiiiight, new video from Niki & The Dove!!! The single Tomorrow will be on their upcoming debut album Instinct which drops May 14 in the UK. FINALLY! I’ve been waiting for what feels like forevAR! I wonder if there will be a US release date soon after or if I’ll need to purchase it as an import. The futuristic looking video for Tomorrow is very cool, and I’m more than happy to hear another awesome new Swedish electropop track from Niki & The Dove. It’s a really good one too. Instinct is going to be a wonderful album.

OFFICIAL VID: Frànçois & The Atlas Mountains – City Kiss

March 30, 2012

City Kiss is a cute little BILINGUAL ditty and video from Frànçois & The Atlas Mountains. The French indie band gives a very comforting, chill feeling with their music.  I posted about these fellas once before when they were the first French band signed to Domino Records. Sometimes, listening to French music just gives a special, warm, fuzzy feeling.

OFFICIAL VID: OK Go – Skyscrapers

March 29, 2012

My gosh, I feel like OK Go keeps themselves so dang busy endlessly! They just released a video for their song Skyscrapers, complete with a ton of tangoing and requisite bright colors. The bluesy sultry song seems a huge departure from their usual sound, and though the video looks cool, it’s nothing like their usual crazy meticulous videos with all kinds of stunts and setups. It’s still unique and a cool concept though!
