Fresh off their collaboration with brassy electro-funk brothers French Horn Rebellion comes new Patawawa jam Lie, a swanky twirling disco banger through and through. Its French house swagger is as infectious as a classic Daft Punk jam, with a whole lot of frisky synths and scalding beats. Patawawa’s put out some fantastic songs in the past, but Lie might be their best yet. It’s a solid gold track that also reminds me of some of my favorite Flight Facilities tracks of yore, due to its rich, sultry vocals and its plucky attitude. LIE is the first song revealed from Cookie Records’ new compilation Crispy Groove, out in early June. Download/stream Patawawa’s swag new tune, here.

Perhaps you’ve been jamming out to this snazzy tune for the past two weeks, as we have. If you haven’t, prepare for some funky disco and brassy swagger as Brooklyn’s French Horn Rebellion unites with UK trio Patawawa for a cross-Atlantic soiree on breezy wagging, island jangly Mr. Romantic. Summer comes early as we dance to the agile beats, playful flares, and plucky riffs of this light-hearted and carefree groover. The two projects are heading out on tour together later this month in the UK, with dates in Sheffield, London, and Manchester. Find out more, here.

I have a Patagonia jacket, but I can’t say that Patagonia is my favorite brand even though I’m an outdoor enthusiast. Most of their products lean towards substance over style, and style does matter, no matter what some people might say. When it comes to both substance and style, we turn to UK trio Patawawa, and their Patagonia, a chic and sexy nu-disco meets electro-funk jam that’s a booty shaking must. The three cool cats blend glittery riffs, sleek synths, and punchy beats on their snazzy sharp disco banger, which exudes a whole lot of retro charm, too. Niles Rodgers would approve of Patagonia’s glamorous riffs and bouncy bass. Patagonia is lifted from Patawawa’s new Bedroom EP, out January 18th on Splinter. Pre-order, here

Aside from having a new that’s loads of fun to say, UK trio Patawawa have demonstrated time and time again that their whimsical brand of nu-disco dance funk is irresistible. They deliver a welcome diversion from all that is depressing and dark with a bright shuffling, swanky plinking new jam. Diversion is a Chromeo meets Viceroy and Mausi meets Flight Facilities bedazzler, a luxurious sonic jungle gym to swing on in pure exhilaration. Stream or purchase Diversion via other outlets and services, here.

It’s time to boogie down to some luxuriant and rich funk, courtesy of Long Beach City Kids, or LBCK. The duo infuse UK alt electronic trio Patawawa’s Back To Life, which features producer Roman Kouder, with an opulent and crisp groove. It’s a warmly glowing summer disco remix that keeps the sun shining regardless the time of night or day. The original Back To Life has made it into mixes by Oliver Nelson, Zimmer, and jackLNDN, too.

Playful, lightly bouncing disco and funk vibes meander along whimsically on UK alt electronic trio Patawawa’s charmer of a single Strange, along with its irresistible bass line and breezy horns. The immensely hooking tune comes along with a colorful new music video, which you can view below. Strange is a warm gem sure to get your feet tapping in jocund liveliness. The endearing song is off Patawawa’s upcoming EP, Knowleston Palace, out March 16. The catchy lyrics on Strange are some of my favorite of the moment. How can you not fall in love with: “It’s like a sabbatical, intensely fanatical, with nothing problematic, it’s strange” to that punchy beat and balmy air?
