I don’t know about you, but when I read DJ Koze and I read Apparat, my jaw literally dropped. Nices Wölkchen is another brilliant track off DJ Koze’s new album Amygdala, and here’s the cool, surreal video for it to boot! Now, anything that involves the talented electronic producer Apparat is sure to be pretty sweet stuff. I guess those German producers can really work together well! The electric IDM song is shadowy and gorgeous. My question for myself is: how come I haven’t ordered a copy of Amygdala, yet? I’m gonna get right on it! The thing features a ton of other amazing collaborations with producers that I’m super fond of. Caribou’s one such guest. I ❤ Caribou.

For those of you that don’t recognize the name, Is Tropical is that cool little band that did that amazing (though violent) kid battle video for their great song The Greeks a year ago. Yeah, that video that topped a lot of the lists for best videos of the year. Now’s an excellent time to share the original cut of Dancing Anymore. Canadian shoegazers (or self proclaimed DOOMgazers) No Joy just released a new album off Mexican Summer titled Wait For Pleasure. The lead single Lunar Phobia, shared previously, was a delicious blend of S7B and some bedroom pop feel. You still get a little of that vibe in this album track Hare Tarot Lies, but it feels darker and heavier. The video takes you on a not so wonderful trip, but the song? It does something else entirely.
