I’ve been incredibly curious to hear this ever since I saw Miami house producer Sharkoffs tease about it on his Facebook. Sharkoffs’ remix of Blink 182 classic All The Small Things sure is a satisfying, pleasing listen. It’s not as hard hitting and bass heavy as Sharkoffs’ usual tracks, but I very much enjoy the melodic spin on the throwback hit. It’s like a blast from the past, but updated into a high energy dance track. There’s even something very Martin Solveig about it all. I’m ready to jump and dance! Well played, Sharkoffs!

From all of the chatter within the music scene, there’s definitely a consensus on the exuberant genius of Hawaiian producer Mr. Carmack. I was floored by his hip hop and electronic production skills the first time I heard him earlier this year. His latest track is no less stunning. Les Djinns is his heady, syrupy, and totally sick take on Drake’s Trophies.

Landscape is a shimmering gem I discovered earlier today in my inbox, during my fail of an effort to try and catch up on emails. I’m lucky I had the chance to stumble onto this one while I was at it. The intoxicating gem is off of French producer Epic Empire’s 3rd EP Landscape, out on Parisian label Tealer Records. I’m always fond of well crafted future beats tunes that channel hypnotizing, hip hop inflected beats and cadences.

OFFICIAL VID: Ella Eyre – If I Go

May 31, 2014

So, I just found out the other day that I’m going to get to see Ella Eyre headline a Popscene in San Francisco come late July. I’m SO there! To celebrate, or, rather, because she released this today, here’s the brand new video accompaniment for her debut single If I Go, a massive, powerhouse ballad that, once the chorus gets going, greatly reminds me of her work with UK drum and bass outfit Rudimental, with whom she first propelled herself to stardom on Waiting All Night.

When I heard this driving, sinister flavored, techno and industrial channeling electronic tune by Long Island band Mr. Twin Sister (once known as just Twin Sister), I knew I had to feature it. There’s a trip hop and dance punk flavor to Out Of The Dark that’s deeply hypnotic, in such a way that it evokes Portishead and Soulwax. The acidic dance track seems made for sweaty late night dance offs in dingy, ill lit warehouses. Check out the video for the track below, too!
