Myd, a songwriter and producer from Paris, is signed to esteemed French label Ed Banger Records, alongside other beloved producers like Justice, Riton, SebastiAN, Breakbot, and more. So it should come as no surprise that his music is as swanky seductive and glamorously intoxicating as it is on new single The Sun, a spacey spiraling, woozy whirring dose of luminous French pop, nu-disco, and wonky electro. The Sun is like trademark Ed Banger French disco house meets Metronomy and MGMT. It’s lifted from Myd’s forthcoming EP, All Inclusive. You can purchase/stream the single via major outlets, here.

How I missed this luxuriant swooner for nearly two months escapes me, especially after Intergalactix won our hearts over last year with their dashing electro funk jam, Something To Say. They reminded us of Chromeo and Cherub, with a light sprinkling of Daft Punk, back then. We’re in for another cosmic electro disco ride as they twirl us round and round with snazzy The Now, replete with classic chords, laser cut beats, and a whole lot of swagger. Nothing else matters but “now” as we dance ourselves silly to the glamorous jam from this Los Angeles based Australian dance duo. Keep those feet moving with more Intergalactix on their Soundcloud, here.

Clapping my hands doesn’t seem appropriate when it comes to the lavish banger that Le Youth just dropped on us this week. A standing ovation seems more appropriate after whirling and twirling my way around the room breathlessly to the LA disco house purveyor’s glamorous new jam, which features Los Angeles chanteuse Ava Max on spicy seductive vocals. Clap Your Hands is a vivacious chugger of a sleek disco, chromatic electro, and funky pop anthem, and it’s sure to jump start a massive dance party the moment you hear it. Grab the plump and juicy track, here.

To be honest, I’m still deeply obsessed with Tragic On The Dancefloor, GIRL FRIEND’s last luscious grooving single. But I can’t help but be taken in by their latest treat, a disco pumping pop spectacular named Call Me If You’re Lonely. I swear the Manchester duo are writing a biography about me with their song titles. After all, what’s the best remedy for loneliness and solitude? Great music, of course! Get ready to boogie down to GIRL FRIEND’s sleek synthpop and electro chic dance rock, a recipe that tends to remind me of other fabulously vibrant projects like Hot Chip and Van She among others.

Norwegian electronic producer Coucheron razzle dazzles us with a fresh new original named PUZZLED, except there’s nothing baffling about how sublime this gem is. After all, Coucheron has pleased us with his dance pop, disco house, and electro funk fusions plenty times before. His latest whimsical delight comes off like a serotonin releasing chromatic fusion of Lemaitre with Daft Punk. There’s one thing I am puzzled about, however. Who’s the adorable baby in the track’s artwork?

Some might consider this next announcement some of the best music news of the year so far. It’s certainly high up there for me too, if not at the very tippy top of my list. Much venerated synthpop and electronic project M83, fronted by the great Anthony Gonzalez, has announced their next album, albeit without Morgan Kibby who has left the band to continue pursing her solo career. New album Junk will be out April 8th on Mute Records, and they’ve unleashed the very first single from the album. M83 chooses to go in a surprisingly electro disco direction on Do It, Try It, a playful dalliance that starts with some ragtime keys before it launches into psychedelic levels of spacey electronics. Do It, Try It is strangely addicting though a completely different animal compared to the sweeping cinematic electronica we’re used to from M83. Speaking of animals, the song also comes with some adorable Yorkshire Terrier visuals in its YouTube stream. I’m not sure what’s going on with this new M83 project, but I’m digging it lots so far.

I find myself dancing away in melodic electro disco heaven, thanks to UK producer Draper’s gorgeous new single, All I See, which features sweetly crystalline vocals by Laura Brehm. All I See irradiates jovial warmth, a shining dance track that flawlessly combines pop with electronica. It also showcases Draper’s versatility, considering the wobbly future bass and seductive future soul he’s given us previously. All I See is a feel good hit sure to get you grooving and smiling. All I See is out now on iTunes.

Manchester’s Girl Friend returns to woo us with sultry and muggy music, via new song Arrive Alone Leave Alone. The dance rocking groover carries copious sexy vibes mashed together with glossy, summery electro disco and a crunchy, infectious funk. Arrive Alone Leave Alone smolders with a touch of early Arctic Monkeys but jams with the electrifying, sizzling warmth of Friendly Fires, the endearing boy girl vocals of Stars, and the smooth charm of Bombay Bicycle Club. It’s definitely a far more glitzy, glammy, and flashy offering from the band.

Keeping those deep beats bouncing, but infusing some neon funk into our evening, with this new original from Brooklyn’s AIMES, featuring Javi (Crosstown Rebels, Under The Shade) on some slick, glistening vocals. Burnin’ is a sharp, chic electro nu-disco channeling rager, flowing with frenzied beats and delicious house progressions from start to finish. It’s a great banger for the dance floor, but I have a feeling this tune would be an awesome one to drive to, too.
