UK producer Maxxi Soundsystem just revealed a 3 track EP named Medicine, and he full on SLAYS it with all three tunes. If you’re fond of mesmerizing deep house lined with entrancing vocals, you’re going to love the title track, which features Name One. I was hard pressed to decide whether to feature Medicine first or Lone Raver, which you can stream below in all its Metronomy evoking vocal glory and simmering intensity. Finely nuanced production and magnificent melodrama imbue both brilliant songs. The Medicine EP is out February 2nd via Culprit.

Detroit electronic duo The Floozies really bring the swanky funk on their new single She Ain’t Yo Girlfriend. The gleaming, dazzling electro jam fuses Daft Punk like funky house with a massive dose of today’s future house vibes. The new tune is off The Floozies’ new album Do Your Thing, out this week on All Good Records.

I’m listening and sharing a lot more indie hip hop these days than I have in a long time, which really says something about the scene. It also says a lot about how much I dig it when electronic and hip hop meet at the middle. New Birmingham based talent Thai Mason teams up with French producer FKJ on new track Drunk. The resplendent, snazzy atmosphere and Thai Mason’s soulful, earnest delivery are a fine pairing. Drunk is part of a collection of songs that Thai Mason has been writing and recording between Birmingham, Nottingham, and London, while working with some incredible producers.

Mysterious new UK collective CROOX dropped their debut single Oracle at the beginning of the year, and it was a dark and soulful electropop stunner that won me over immediately. CROOX follows that huge tune up with another emotionally stacked electronic song, Settle. Less murky and moody than Oracle, it’s a alluring, mid-tempo, and steamy electronic R&B gem. The boys will announce a debut live show in the UK soon.

There’s a new hip hop act from Canada, named Ain’t No Love, and their balance of electronic and hip hop on new single Cry In The Rain is perfect in my books. Just the right amount of each one flawlessly melds into each other on the crisp and driving track. The French electro flavored production was skillfully crafted by Toronto producer Avenue. Cry In The Rain is the third single from Ain’t No Love’s forthcoming EP, Plummet, set for release in March via Warner Music. For another exhilarating single from the sure to be buzzing act, check out sultry and sensual Summa below, produced by Birthday Boy.

The dope ILOVEMAKKONEN remixes are flowing abundantly these days. The latest to catch my ears and hold on tightly is this edit of Tuesday by a Hollywood based producer named Purple Water. It’s a banging, booming, and skittering trap remix that gets me hyped up for the weekend. I’m glad it’s not Tuesday right now. Despite its bouncing bass and rhythm, there’s something steamy and sexy about the track.

Florida experimental art rock band Hundred Waters’ music is already life changing and brilliant to begin with, and even more so live. Their 2014 album The Moon Rang Like A Bell was easily one of the most groundbreaking, stellar albums of that year. On February 17th, Hundred Waters is dropping a new set of remixes of songs off that album. We’ve already heard the magical remix Shigeto created out of Cavity. Now, listen to this other worldly, sparkling version of Out Alee by UK producer Plaid

We go from the soothing tropics and shift over to a heady, glitchy, ethereal world, courtesy of a whimsical remix of alt rock band Twin Atlantic’s Oceans by fellow Scottish act Prides. The electropop act’s interpretation of Oceans gives it endless frothy, bubbly, and shimmering waves. It gives us a notion of how Twin Atlantic would sound if they were a synthpop band.

I was a little late to the game on this one, but London based producer Dusta enthralled me so much with some of his recent chill house remixes that I knew, I had to make sure some of you got up on this too. Dusta’s latest is a mellow and effervescent melodic house remix of Jakwob’s Blinding. Follow that beauty up with his tropical house remix of Goldroom’s Embrace, which is incredibly soothing yet uplifting, all at the same time. How these slipped by me previously, I have no idea, but I thank the music gods that I’ve ultimately encountered them.

New Austrian act James Hersey’s single What I’ve Done goes slick and buoyant on a fresh remix by British producer JackLNDN. It’s another one to add to the always growing list of splendid summer house jams that make it near impossible to ever feel downcast. Textured future bass flavors pair with the song’s bouncy house to create a oasis of lush joy. The original soulful, folksy, and tropical treat can be streamed below, via its video. James Hersey has been supporting Milky Chance on the first leg of their US Tour and there are rumors brewing of a Kygo and DIllon Francis collaboration. Remember the name!
