SNBRN brings us ooey gooey summer sunshine on the Los Angeles producer’s new single, Sometimes, which features vocals by Nashville’s Holly Winter. It’s literally the perfect treat to ring in June, a nostalgia laden mix of future bass and chill indie house. I’m taken back to the gorgeous solo hike I just enjoyed along the Santa Cruz coastline this past holiday weekend while my friends were surfing. The cool spray of the deep blue sea fills the air as powerful waves break on imposing rocks below me. A breezy draft envelopes me in fresh ocean air.  The sun reflects brilliantly in the distance.  And the world has never been more beautiful, despite all of its flaws. SNBRN reminds us that sometimes, it’s okay to let go and live for the moment, that those scars might still hurt but we don’t have to dwell on them. Sometimes, we should just dance, rather than worry away a magnificent day. We’ll be fine. Especially with SNBRN and Holly Winter here to keep those demons at bay. Sometimes is available now on iTunes.

Earlier tonight, I already babbled plentifully about how great Flume’s sophomore album Skin is, so let’s not dive back into that zealous praise once again, shall we? Instead, let’s revisit one of the most wicked instrumental tracks of the year, Flume’s Wall Fuck, via a flip by Milwaukee’s Melvv. This is a very different soft of mind melt that Melvv gives us. Though it doesn’t seem to stray too distantly from the original, Melvv’s Wall Fuck is much more slick and far less sharply venomous. Its jab is crisper and cleaner, less rattling and more phosphorescent. Simply put, its gloriously intoxicating, and infinitely triumphal and exultant, just what I need to close out my epic holiday weekend.

Southern California’s Crywolf has been blowing my mind for some time now, particularly after he transitioned into an organic format that included much acoustic instruments and vocal display in the mix. A producer from Russia named Elènne, who somehow escaped my attention until now, gives us a dusky compelling revisit of Crywolf’s Slow Burn more than perfect for the late hours of the evening. Slow Burn gets a much regal yet meditative future bass and craggy trap makeover, spacious and smooth yet intense and powerful. This one’s for those restless 2 A.M.s, when your mind can’t stop turning circles on itself. Download the remix for free, here.

The blood in my veins pump profusely and intensely to the pulsating beats of this magnificent new remix of Kill The Noise’s Without A Trace. At the helm of this release is fast rising production talent REZZ. Plunge into her darkly hypnotic, breathtaking atmospheric edit and lose yourself in its slick groove and meditative allure. She seamlessly combines techno and deep house on the thrumming gem, punctuated with ambient moments of pure grace. The remix is a free download, courtesy of OWSLA, here.

The Brocks swoop out of Utah with an insanely catchy dance pop and synthpop affair named Going Nowhere. The outfit previously collaborated with Kaskade on Summer Nights, and the celebrated producer partners up with the indie electronic band once again on this new tune, co-crafting a bright and exuberant soundscape well worthy of getting some rapid feet shuffling on. The smooth allure of Miike Snow and the snappy beats of Empire Of The Sun meet halfway on this delectably bouncy treat, available now on iTunes.

The vibes are heavy on Easy 4 U, so heavy you can feel it, so heavy you can taste it in the air. The dark electronic pop song oozes a thick gloominess that cuts right to the bone. Easy 4 U comes from London’s Valentina, a must listen for fans of Banks, Ryn Weaver, and Lorde. Valentina is a dark pop vixen on her whirring new song, her husky voice drawing me in like a siren. Easy 4 U, produced by Los Angeles’ Zach Sekoff, is available now from iTunes. You can view the music video for the single below.

There’s no doubt that Flume’s new album Skin is one of the best releases so far this year. Harley has followed up his groundbreaking, inspirational debut album in triumphant style. The whole album is an engrossing listen, plus it’s star studded with exceptional guest talent. With the release of Skin, Flume has also made one more new track off the album available for streaming on Soundcloud. Lose It is an intensive hip hop and future bass affair featuring vocals by Chicago rapper Vic Mensa. Like pretty much every track on Skin, Lose It is fierce, its machine gun cadence and wobbling synths much worthy of losing it. Skin can be purchased now from iTunes.

London based artist and producer Emily Underhill, who releases music as Tusks, recently signed to One Little Indian. She’ll be releasing a self produced EP entitled False come June 10th, and she’s just revealed the title track and its cinematic music video, which can be viewed below. The video’s depiction of a protagonist battling with inner demons is gripping and intense, just like Tusks’ ambient alt pop song itself. False’s delicate hushed tranquility builds into twirling wild turbulence over the course of just over three minutes. It’s a sprawling aria, its lithe trip hop beats and atmospheric strings adding to its yawning depth and tempestuous grandeur. Tusks’ False EP can be pre-ordered from various outlets, here.

I still remember the very first moment I encountered Bat For Lashes so many fantastic years (nearly a decade?) ago, via Natasha Khan’s bewitching video for What’s A Girl To Do, which quickly reeled me in with its quirky darkness and Donnie Darko like vibes. She channels much of the same haunting atmosphere on the glorious new video for her new single, Sunday Love. Sunday Love is a spectacular tune in itself, an eerie bewitching, pulsing magnetic synthpop gem from Bat For Lashes’ forthcoming new full length, The Bride, which drops on July 1st via Parlophone. Pre-order The Bride from iTunes and get Sunday Love instantly.

Imperial Daze certainly puts me in an intoxicated daze with their debut, a psych pop and woozy rock joint named Man Out Of Myself. The newcomers arrive from South London to swoon us with their soulful soupy ambler, giving us a very Unknown Mortal Orchestra meets Fitz and the Tantrums sort of sound. It’s quite the kick off for the currently unsigned band, who promise to have more info coming our way soon.
