There’s no denying the star power of Lauv, who’s reached spectacular heights of success since a few years ago, when he switched over from his production moniker Epique to launch his career as a singer songwriter. Lauv’s prior single I Like Me Better has gone platinum. No doubt new single Chasing Fire will do so soon, too. The slick and polished tune is about fighting for something that’s already over, or the beginning of the end. Despite its rather desolate and despondent breakup themes, Chasing Fire bursts forth with vivacious beats and mellifluous vocals. Lauv co-wrote and co-produced the track, as he normally does. Chasing Fire arrives in the midst of Lauv’s sold out world tour, “I met you when I was 18″. He also recently performed on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live and MTV’s TRL, and he’ll be performing this summer at Lollapalooza, Hangout Music Festival, Firefly Music Festival, and LaureLive Festival.

We can’t even begin to describe how ecstatic we are over Lauv’s immense success this past year. He regular sells out all his shows and he has a legion of fans who worship every new pop song he unleashes upon us, plus his collaboration with DJ Snake, A Different Way, is easily one of the biggest electro/pop crossover hits in recent time. IHM has been following along with his journey since the New York based singer songwriter was releasing songs as producer Epique. Aside from congratulation Lauv on his accomplishments, we also must thank him for his new single, Getting Over You, a molten melting, lush whirring pop aria that will keep lonely hearts warm and more than appeased on this cold Valentine’s Day night. With his creamy smooth, buttery sleek voice, Lauv croons his way straight back into our hearts, helping us get over our own lovelorn heartaches.

There’s been an inordinate amount of remixes when it comes to DJ Snake’s hit single A Different Way, featuring buttery melting vocals by hotly buzzing artist Lauv. And we’ve shared quite a few of them, too. Tony Romera, a producer from Lyon, France, offers up the latest can’t miss remix of A Different Way. He’s turned the track into a synth pumping, dance inducing banger filled to the brim with snazzy French house vibes. I’d imagine this is how a Daft Punk, k?d, and DJ Snake collaboration might sound like. Tony Romera’s remix is robust and electrifying, and it’s a free download, here.

DJ Snake’s collaboration with long time IHM favorite (and massively buzzing superstar in the making) Lauv is huge. It’s such an unforgettable anthem that a long list of incredible remixes by potent producers have been surfacing. 22 year old Los Angeles producer Dirty Audio joins that fray with his intensely enthralling remix of A Different Way, giving us one of the most heart pumping adrenaline rushes out of all the edits we’ve encountered to date. It’s a dominating production performance, with dramatic dubstep and cinematic trap frills added throughout the hybrid track. Chills and thrills abound on Dirty Audio’s A Different Way, and it’s a free download, here.

We were overjoyed when Lauv, the creamy melting crooner from New York we’ve been ardently supporting since his debut (and even before that, when he was a producer named Epique), made a melting guest appearance on DJ Snake’s hit single A Different Way. As expected, the song has spawned some splendid remixes, including this wicked edit by Los Angeles’ Noizu. He gives it a trappy, bassy house take bursting with electrifying energy and rambunctious drops. Noizu’s killer remix is part of a two track remix pack out now via Geffen / UMG. Stream/purchase, here.

I’m incredibly happy about Lauv’s swift ascent, but surprised I am not. We’ve been in love with this New Yorker’s creamy melting voice and heart wrenching R&B/electronic pop ballads from the moment he decided to share music as Lauv (after first enthralling us as a producer under the name Epique). Lauv is now such a hot commodity that even DJ Snake has tapped him for a collaboration. Behold smash hit in the making, A Different Way, a sharp and dapper dance and pop hybrid featuring Balearic springing production and Lauv’s waxy smooth cooing. It’s a bit like Ed Sheeran meets Mura Masa, with a bit of Diplo moombahton thrown in. Stream/purchase the single, here.

I can’t believe it’s been two long years since we fell in love with Lauv, that New York based singer songwriter and producer who initially caught our attention with a bevy of fine electronic remixes under the name of Epique. As we predicted, Lauv has been winning over hearts aplenty since he dropped The Other, a song we still love emphatically today. As he prepares to melt plenty of fans with his live set in San Francisco this week, he unleashes yet another luminous enthralling, honeyed stirring single named I Like Me Better. Its soulful pop and lithesome electronica movingly reminds us that true, good love should bring out the best in us rather than the worst of us. We like ourselves better when we’re listening to your sweet gooey pop, Lauv. Learn more about Lauv’s current tour on his website, here.

Broken is an epic alliance that brings together so many amazing artists. The stirring electronic anthem comes by way of Austin duo Tritonal and NYC’s Jenaux, but it also features vocally gifted American Idol superstar Adam Lambert. Broken was also written by New York R&B pop talent Lauv and his buddy Madison Emiko. As I said, this melodically endearing, honeyed glowing summer dance hit is the result of some phenomenal teamwork. It’s also a smorgasbord of electronica, its glimmering pieces formed from a prismatic palette ranging from electro to progressive house, all stippled copiously with with buoyant future vibes and effervescent pop. Broken will be on Tritonal’s Painting With Dreams album, out September 9th on Enhanced Music. Pre-order from iTunes.

IHM has been following along with New York’s Lauv since his days as a producer under the name of Epique. Though it’s been nearly a year since Lauv revealed one of his first singles, Reforget, the song still stands as one of my favorite electro R&B ballads today. My heart leaped for joy when new Lauv arose on the horizon, certain it would be in for a moving experience. Sure enough, Question, which features guest vocals by actor and musician Travis Mills, is luscious rousing. There’s no questioning the potent power of this soulful smoldering jam. It kicks off lavishly with orchestral swelling magnificence before velveteen vocals kick in to sweep your heart away. Question is out now on iTunes.

New York based electro R&B and pop artist Lauv’s phenomenal song Reforget is also undeniably one of my favorite originals from 2015, so you can imagine the joy pervaded my heart when I saw that Reforget had received a remix treatment by Chicago electronic duo Milk N Cooks. To be honest, I’ve been waiting some time now for a worthy remix of Reforget to knock on my doorsteps, and who else but Milk N Cooks would answer my prayers with a signature uplifting edit? The aching poignancy of the original is enfolded in a veneer of tropics hued, lustrous indie dance exultation, with Lauv’s velvet vocals offering a heart rending window into the original’s torment. Do I cry? Do I dance? Perhaps, I’ll do both. Download the remix for free, here.
