Snakehips’ fantastically hooking dance anthem All My Friends, featuring Chance The Rapper and Tinashe, is receiving some wondrous remix treatments of late. The latest ear pleasing, brain waves jiggling edit comes from Australia’s Wave Racer, who injects All My Friends with the exact kind of fizzy vibrancy and colorful agility that we love about his music. This is the neon sunsets and smiling dolphins version of All My Friends, and it would be a great one to hear on one of those cruise fests, with beach balls a flying and plastic palm trees a swaying. Purchase the bubbly treat on iTunes.

In an unexpected but surprisingly divine turn of events, UK production duo Bondax have remixed Foals. Prepare yourself for sublimely heady indie dance luxuriance on Bondax’s pillowy, foggy remix of Foals’ Give It All. It’s a murkier though more lively approach on the song. Its distorted funk, paired with Yannis’ voice, suddenly makes the track feel very Bombay Bicycle Club like, something I certainly don’t notice much when we’re normally listening to Foals. The remix is surprisingly light and fluid for Bondax, and oh so intoxicating.

I’m not sure how I missed this last month, or perhaps I do know, since I was out and about around that time, but having encountered it this week, there’s no way I’m passing up on sharing this track. Not only does it combine two acts I love, but Haunted is fiercely magnificent. The gently wobbling, sensually mournful song comes from French producer Stwo, while its spellbinding, smoky vocals are turned in by no other than Sevdaliza. Haunted is the first spectacular single from Stwo’s upcoming EP, Distant, and it showcases a side of Stwo we haven’t heard before, leaning far into electronic pop territory rather than his usual hip hop heavy electronica. Purchase Haunted on iTunes.

While I was still traveling through Europe back in October, a behemoth collaboration dropped and made big waves. Everyone’s favorite smooth Australian crooner, Chet Faker, joined forces with British producer Marcus Marr on a colossal disco soul jam named The Trouble With Us. Along with the track, the super duo revealed that they would be releasing a whole EP of music together, titled Work. Today, we get to hear another killer track from Work, a romp of a tune named Birthday Card. This Birthday Card boasts deep bass and garage like ambiance, resulting in a hypnotic and dark experience. In fact, it might be the darkest depths we’ve heard Chet Faker’s voice submerged in. Birthday Card’s simmering heat boils over with sultry guitars. Chet Faker and Marcus Marr’s Work EP drops on Friday December 4th via Detail Records. Pre-order here.

Images of sweet love and island paradises are flashing through my mind as I dance with carefree abandon to this song from new Berlin duo Kilian & Jo. They’ve brightened my day a hundred fold with infectious debut single Little Love, a Years and Years meets Cheat Codes like deep house and trop pop confection that features buttery smooth vocals by Los Angeles singer songwriter Conrad Sewell (who you might recognize from Kygo’s Firestone). Little Love is a sublime, uplifting burst of joy and sunshine. Little Love is available now on iTunes.

20 year old Londoner Connie Constance unites with producer Blue Daisy again on a gorgeously minimalist future soul single named Answer. The song’s sparse drumwork and melancholic guitar strums lure my The xx loving heart, while Connie Constance’s earthy vocals seal the deal with sincere soulfulness and melancholic grit. Answer is an exquisite and ethereal follow up to Connie Constance’s In The Grass EP. The artist to watch is busy in the studio writing, and I predict great things coming in 2016.

Many bands and musicians have offered up tributes after the tragic events that occurred in Paris two weeks ago. Paris based classically trained singer songwriter Ana Zimmer offers up an ode to the City Of Lights by covering Swedish band Little Dragon’s Paris. I previously compared Ana Zimmer to both Lana Del Rey and MS MR on her darkly riveting music, and she certainly reminds me of them again on this fantastic electropop cover, which alternates between sparkly lightness and droning darkness. It’s a riveting tribute, a beautiful and arresting performance.

Early this year, a mysterious act named Snowdrifts appeared out of the mists of a fading winter to take our breaths away with an ambient electronic pop song named Eyes Of A Lion. With this week’s long awaited second release, the enigmatic act shows how truly fitting the name Snowdrifts really is. New song Winter’s Ghost, which comes at a time when winter has just arrived, is a cool and mellow, meditative and soothing beauty. Its brooding trance is like a combination of Phoria and Fyfe. Winter’s Ghost is indeed gossamer, but not in an eerie way, but rather, it haunts in the way ghosts of the pasts do, at a trickling, furtive pace.

A mere week ago, Los Angeles newcomer Billie Eilish made me fall head over heels in love with her when she gave us a bewitching pop song named Ocean Eyes. Its icy sparkle reminded me of AURORA, while its melancholic tendencies evoked Lana Del Rey. Today, we get to listen to a new breathtaking rendition of Ocean Eyes, thanks to UK singer songwriter Astronomyy. He’s remixed Ocean Eyes, giving it a full bodied and expansive atmosphere that has me subliming into thin air. Astronomyy plunges us deep into those ocean eyes. We find ourselves in a vast sea alongside Billie Eilish, carried away by cresting waves that swell and engulf us with electrified beauty.

Sophia Exiner is an Australian singer songwriter based in Berlin who makes spellbinding music under the name Phia. New song So Far, So Close has me thoroughly captivated with its enchanting melody, her crisp vocals, and its sparkling instrumentation. So Far, So Close is a folk and baroque pop song from Phia’s upcoming debut album. Its crystalline beauty and symphonious arrangement are reminiscent of Regina Spektor and Shara Worden. Download the song on bandcamp, all proceeds up till Christmas go towards Give Something Back to Berlin.
