I just caught these guys last week live, and they were fantastic! Night Terrors of 1927 are from Los Angeles (again, I’m on a roll with my last few posts). If you haven’t heard their infectious alt/pop single Dust and Bones, you’ve been missing out. Catch it below. It’s tremendous. Listen to their new song Fall Into You above. It’s a wonderfully moody, polished, but thumping and dark track, very different from Dust and Bones. You should definitely take a listen to these guys if you like The Neighbourhood, The Limousines, and many other alt rock/pop bands of late. Fall Into You will be on their forthcoming EP Guilty Pleas, out November 11.

I’m on a roll with the Los Angeles rock band shares at the moment. I really enjoyed shoegaze band Gliss’ album Langsom Dans earlier this year. Album track The Sea Tonight is one of the less brooding, more bright and upbeat tracks off the album with its fetching, melodic pop chorus. Watch their new video for the song.

Los Angeles noise pop band Dum Dum Girls have stayed rather quiet for the past year, but they’re back today with a new video created in conjunction with H&M. H&M must want to start ramping up the online music related marketing, since Urban Outfitters has waded into the music video scene several times lately. Lost Boys and Girls Club is the first compelling single off of their just announced new album Too True, which comes out sometime next year. It’s a rocking, fierce track instilled with some of their dream pop shoegaze sound, but it’s far more chilly and doleful than songs off previous album Only In Dreams.

Montreal indie rock band Half Moon Run have a new video for us for their song She Wants To Know. It’s one of many fantastic tracks off their debut album Dark Eyes. Half Moon Run really remind me of Local Natives on this particular song. It’s one of their less folk leaning tunes, unlike album track Full Circle which first grabbed my attention. There’s more of a mature, art pop feel to the deliriously moody song. The twisted video for the song seems like a perfect fit for Halloween day. These guys were great when I caught them live earlier this month.
