This morning, I was so excited about this debut that I listened to it with a huge smile on my face at least three times on repeat while dancing around my living room and talking to myself. Yes, my cat gave me some very odd stares. Take a listen to new Swedish electropop act Wildhart’s Stuck In A Second and you might understand why I lost it for a bit. The potent newcomers’ first single is a stunning, intense, and magnificent listen. Wildhart is described as having their feet in jazz and improvisation music, and that’s certainly detectable on the heady, complex production and its enchanting, flittery atmosphere. There’s a future pop synthiness that evokes Purity Ring blended with Little Dragon, altogether paired with the icy, ethereal Scandinavian qualities of acts like The Knife, Oh Land, and Niki And The Dove. There’s also a crystalline brittleness to the softly pulsing gem, painting a picture of wistful vulnerability. Stuck In A Second is a magical tune, and I’m stuck in all five minutes, fourteen seconds of it.

It’s been less than a week since I first featured a UK duo named Treasureseason and their dreamy synthpop music. The tune I featured then, Julep, has been making a big mark on the Hypem charts, unsurprisingly. Julep is the title track off their new EP, out right now on Hand In Hive. Today, Treasureseason made available on Soundcloud the final track from the EP. Into The Sun is a glistening, swirling song that floats on luscious, rich synths, like a more plush, M83 infused CHVRCHES. Let’s revisit Julep below, too.

Poison Ivy is a muggy, sultry new alt pop gem from Los Angeles trio Carlton, an act fresh on my radar that quickly caught my attention as a band to watch. Their growler of a track is infectious and steamy. The trio recently finished up touring with Shwayze, and they’re working on a debut album that features Poison Ivy. For another hooking, endearing song from Carlton, stream the more saccharine and sanguine Trigger Happy below, too.

It’s a gloomy Sunday over here, the perfect kind of weather and day to stay in, listen to some amazing new music, watch my Golden State Warriors continue their winning streak on TV, and then share some of that aforementioned new music with you. There’s nothing more fitting to open this rare Sunday edition of features than a new tune from Berlin based Still Parade. As a present for all the support this year, Niklas of Still Parade has unleashed a gorgeous stand alone track named Hunter. Let the twangy dream folk gem keep you nice and warm with its airy atmosphere, dripping with such melting, homey nostalgia.

If it’s some shimmering, soulful house music you crave, NVOY is here to satisfy that thirsty urge with opulent, exhilarating You Are. The British duo channel some old school Detroit and Chicago house as well as an addicting UK garage groove on the must get up and dance to track. It’s luscious and gorgeous, a stand out offering from the rising act who profess to make music for beautiful women.

Hot dang, I’ve been quickly, gleefully entrapped by this debut song, Losing You, from a new London based quartet named Dead Ceremony. It’s a dark, melodious synthpop song permeated with very sultry and yearnful electronic soul. Atmospheric synths and an entrancing, trip hoppy beat pair with such honeyed crooning. It’s a combo sure to reel in fans of SOHN, James Blake, and Lo-Fang. The song’s been tagged “Maths Time Joy”, I’m guessing the talented British musician produced the track. Watch Dead Ceremony’s self directed video for the stunning tune below.

I’m going to throw you a dope weekend banger. It’s just after Thanksgiving (hope you had a great one) here in America, and the holiday with family and old friends tends to make us feel nostalgic, right? Let’s turn back the clocks nearly a decade ago to when I was hugely addicted to Panic! at the Disco’s debut album A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out and Brendon Urie’s voice. Of course, everyone loved I Write Sins Not Tragedies off that album. NYC/Boston based producer Kasum remixed the track and turned it into a thrilling, electrifying brew of future bass, trap, and progressive house. Get up and burn that turkey off! It’s not the first punkish alt rock tune that Kasum has cleverly tweaked… turn it back a few more years and listen to his electro and progressive remix of Sum 41’s In Too Deep

Mad props to This Song Is Sick for first premiering this one a few days ago. I’m quite fond of Swedish electronic act Cazzette’s recent tunes, in particular, Sleepless. That song was remixed by some talented, fast rising producers a few months ago, namely Jenaux and Prince Fox, some of my favorite new producers this year. The ever brilliant New York based Prince Fox has turned in yet another thrilling remix of Cazzette, but this time, it’s a remix of Blind Heart. He gives the house flavored tune a future bass and trap tweak that’s full on glorious… just the kind of dramatic stuff that made me fall in love with Prince Fox when I first heard his Sam Smith remix earlier this year. Since we’re here, we might as well revisit that dope remix of Sleepless by Jenaux and Prince Fox!

I’ve greatly enjoyed British producer JackLNDN’s remixes in the past, and I’m delighted to learn that he has an EP, “Summer Never Ends – Vol. 1” in the works. I’m already in love with the title of the EP, being more the summery, warm weather type of person. Don’t Forget is his second preview off the EP, and as expected, it’s a blissfully balmy electronic track, full of exhilarating, melodic piano and disco house flair.

Always fun and vibrant Portuguese electronic dance act Buraka Som Sistema recently released their third album Buraka. Songs off the album are getting some great remix treatments. Do Me Now is one of several songs remixed on the Buraka Remixes EP, out this week. UK producer Castro turns in a vivacious, synth laden, and buoyant rendition.
