French producer Bolivard has captured the essence of both funk in the jungle on his flashy new banger, Maya Funk. If Caribou, Cut Copy, and Daft Punk teamed up for a monumental jam session, it’d probably result in the glorious, glamorous disco funk and electro house that Bolivard has crafted for us on his sensational new tune. The artist, who’s also taken on the role of graphic designer and illustrator at newly minted label Cookie Records, inspires us to strut our way across the room in bliss to his lush dazzler. Maya Funk is the second single revealed off Cookie Records’ Crispy Groove Compilation. Visit the first single, Patawawa’s Lie, via our recent feature, here. Maya Funk is available, here.

Let’s close out this long and arduous Monday with a truly invigorating jam. Elusive new producer Marinsky alights on our radar out of France with a fresh and funky banger, appropriately titled Rapture. A whirlwind torrent of glamorous disco, spicy electro-funk, visceral deep house, and trendy breakbeats greets our ears as we don our sequined dancing shoes to twirl the rest of the night away to this groovalicious flight of fancy. If ZHU, C2C, Daft Punk, and Junior Senior all jammed out together, it’d probably be rapturous like Rapture. You can snag this foxy banger, such a deliciously flute fluttering, brassy trumpeting, and bass pumping affair, here.

It’s been ages since our favorite interstellar robots, Daft Punk, have graced us with new music, and no, they’re not playing the trash fence at Burning Man, or going on a tour announced on April Fool’s Day, or headlining the next big festival, but they do seem to like treating us to a rare collaboration every once in awhile. Aside from the duo’s previous world dominating music with The Weeknd, the producers now surprise us with a sudden appearance on a new song from Australia based Berlin project Parcels. That’s right, Parcels and Daft Punk wrote and produced a song together at a secret location in Paris earlier this year. Out of the session comes glitzy grooving Overnight, a shimmering twirler of a cool, glamorous jam. We should’ve known how well Parcels’ smooth electro funk and swanky pop would go with Daft Punk’s plucky luscious French house. The combination of the two feels like Jungle gone Daft Punk. Growing five piece sensation Parcels is touring Europe for the year, with stops at all major festivals including a pair of shows at Glastonbury this very weekend. You can purchase/stream Overnight via additional sources, here.

Two Another are like no other when it comes to their luxuriant disco groove and their smoldering R&B soul, as we’ve known for this past year while hooked on their prior singles. The British project is back with more of those steamy pumping, slick strutting vibes on new single Over My Shoulder. They take us back a few decades with the funky synths on the head bop ready, hip swing spurring satin banger. Over My Shoulder even boasts some French house swagger. The track is lifted from Two Another’s sophomore EP, arriving on June 9th.

Parisian duo SACRE came at us with aplomb earlier this year when they surfaced with lavish shimmering, funky flourishing debut, Gaia. They’ve now returned with the follow up to that tune, and The Call, is just as delectable of a glistening jam. The sparkly glam groover combines sleek strutting disco and lustrous pirouetting French electro. Sacre again draws on Daft Punk as an influence on the pair’s latest offering. The Call’s retro sprightly, cosmic bubbly vibrancy is also reminiscent of M83′s recent album Junk. It’s near impossible not to start shimmying all over the room to this luscious sonic soiree.

No doubt you’ll feel very alive throughout your jubilant visit with Alive, the latest from Parisian electronic auteur Uppermost. Wavy disco funk and chic French electro spin us in endless cycles of sheer ecstasy as we can’t help but dance to the uplifting cut from Uppermost’s new album “Origins (2011-2016)” out February 10th on his own label imprint, UPPWIND. Uppermost said of the track: “I’m obssessed with the power of these simple loops that can take you to mysterious imaginary places.” For a few minutes, those places feel more than real as we’re tousled and jostled by Alive’s jabbing beats and lavish synths.

Let’s pick it up a notch, and leave some of the pensive, sentimental gems behind for the moment, with this French disco house remix of Daft Punk’s Face To Face by Uppermost. The French producer describes his take as a tribute to the duo for their inspirational work. Whimsical vocals and a helluva infectious, funky beat round out the fresh, vivid track.

Australian synthpop act Strange Talk held one of those remix contests for their earworm of a tune Climbing Walls. They crowned a Romanian producer named Elektromekanik as the winner. Elektromekanik’s remix of Climbing Walls adds an extra layer of sheen to it. It’s an extra funky rendition that brings a very French electro and disco house shine to it. It’s a dance ready, yet chilled out remix. I’m digging it. Revisit the original edit of Climbing Walls below, which is on their debut album Cast Away.
