Stonefox’s music is already so exquisitely moving in all its ambient grace and drafty atmospheric beauty. I had a hard time imagining how my heart would handle a remix of the Melbourne trio’s recent song Dreamstate by producer and musician Tep No.  After all, the Toronto producer tends to take us straight to cloud nine with his chill atmospheric concoctions. “We’re caught up in a dream state” sings Stonefox on their gorgeous tune, which while under the dexterous hands of Tep No, could never be dreamier. This chill melodic, tropical effulgent remix of Dreamstate is halcyon sublime. You’ll never want to wake up from this dreamstate.

As far as I can tell, it’s been a prolonged while since Two Can last gave us an original. But the Australian sibling duo have chosen to return to the scene at the perfect moment, just as our summer is drawing to a close and fall comes a knocking with its chill gusts and wet drizzles. Two Can’s new single. Holding On To You, which features velveteen sleek vocals by Savoi, is an end-of-summer sunset house jam whose sax and marimba fuels its retro nostalgic charm. Whether we’re holding on to summer, or holding on to each other, we all know that feeling. It’s hard to let go of the past, and it’s tough saying goodbye to summer and all the good times it encompasses. Fortunate for us, we may have an Indian summer yet. We’ll just have to wait and see, and dance our way through to Two Can.

I knew I had to share this one when I first stumbled upon it yesterday afternoon, and I was immensely delighted to find out it was a serendipitous debut discovery, too. Kwon arrives to thrill us from the DMV area (which I only recently learned means the D.C., Virginia, Maryland area of the East Coast and has nothing to do with motor vehicles). Though he started producing back in 2012, he’s had a classical instrument background throughout his life. After exposing himself to some life changing music in college, Kwon new he needed to compose music, not just DJ. That’s when he started working with some of our favorite artists in the budding modern scene right now, including Stephen, Imad Royal, Manila Killa, and more. Out of this journey comes Kwon’s Forever, his very first single. The track samples Eminem and Lil Wayne hit Forever, pitch shifting and chopping it up to create a gusty blast of wavy trap and hypnotic beats. If a song can be both mellow and electrifying, chill yet stimulating, this one’s it. It feels like forever, an eternity of scenic halls and surrealist textures through which was synchronously spiral and float. Forever is a free download, here.

I’m sure by now many of you electronic heads have heard the sad news about Big Makk’s passing in a tragic accident. The beloved producer and DJ from Orlando was on the rise on Mad Decent, having worked with both Bassnectar and Mr. Carmack in the past. And by all industry accounts, he was a good man, too. As people pour out their tributes in remembrance of Big Makk, some musical odes are surfacing as well. Big Makk’s close friend and California producer Ookay serves up a moving, heart felt trap number named Back Again. Though airy effervescent, Back Again’s sorrow is absolute. RIP, Big Makk.

Twilight rhapsodic melodic bass fills up our hearts with sublime feels as Los Angeles based producer Spirix presents us with his latest remix, a beautiful edit of Feenixpawl and APEK’s Quicksand which premiered on EDM.com. Spirix lifts us up into the cosmos with progressive building house before dropping us into a roiling world of stuttering bass and epic synths. This is the sort of heart rending electronica that evokes ILLENIUM and Dabin. The original track is out on various outlets, here.

New project FRND comes from a platinum selling producer out of Los Angeles who recently signed to Crooked Paintings to release his very own EP. Though he’s chosen to stay cloaked for the moment, it’s reported that we’ll find out who this mysterious producer is very soon. In the meantime, he debuts his new project with a song named Friend which tells a much familiar story about cutting out the toxic people in your life. The gently springing, coolly breezy future pop anthem boasts some subtle accents and finely nuanced elements, serving to entice and entrance in a light effervescent fashion. If Louis The Child went all saccharine and weightless, delicate and dreamy on us, it would probably sound something like Friend. I eagerly await the unmasking of the artist behind this exciting new project.

Stalgia’s In The Trees is a dark looming beauty, a lush soundscape of seductive electro R&B from the gifted Los Angeles duo. It’s that magnificent tune upon which San Francisco by way of Los Angeles production talent Andrew Luce fixates for his regal new remix. The wavy trap and cinematic future bass remix takes us on a slow prowling march of seething grandeur. Andrew Luce’s remix is out now on iTunes.

Portland’s ECHOS has been a standout project this past year, not only due to the quirky spelling of the duo’s name, but for their stirring brand of electronic pop, too. New song Say It might be their best yet, a dusky enchanting aria whose chill trap effulgence and Poliça meets Daughter like enrapturing vocals steal my heart away. Say It is taken from duo’s self titled debut EP, out October 3rd. The gorgeously aching, bittersweet endearing song comes with a cinematic music video, too, which you can view below. Purchase Say It or pre-order Echos’ debut EP from iTunes.

To all the Troye Sivan fans, and I know you’re out there: I’m about to set your heart aflutter with this next one. Australian duo Vallis Alps, the project responsible for one of my favorite songs of 2015 (Young), has remixed Troye’s hit single Ease. They give the song a smooth melting, ethereal serene future makeover that glides and subtly shifts with, well…. flawless “ease”. Vallis Alp’s official remix is a breathtaking ebb and flow of gentle beats and shimmery synths. This one’s more than sigh worthy.
