I know I flooded you with a ton of goodies today, but I must share one more before I rush out the door. Last year, I fell for a song named Hoyle Road by a fresh new UK producer Pedestrian, aka Jack Sibley. The song quickly reminded me of James Blake, SBTRKT, and Sampha. It was absolutely intoxicating and must be listened to, here, if you missed it. Pedestrian has shared a remix by Drew Hill. It’s one of those remix slash covers, with vocals added on. The remix is incredibly euphoric and atmospheric, with finely tuned sounds and textures that are almost palpable to touch. The dreamy vocals layered with the vocals from the original is dreamy, beautiful, and captivating. This one’s perfect for a late night listen.

London Grammar – Hey Now (Arty Remix)

January 31, 2014

Holy crap, I’m realizing I’ve featured every official remix of London Grammar’s Hey Now in the past week or so, including the Rockwell remix and the Bodhi remix. London Grammar will be officially releasing Hey Now as their next single come March 16, hence all the curated remixes leading up to it. For all the loyal London Grammar fans (myself included), it’s been a long time coming. Hey Now was one of the earliest tracks from the, at the time still mysterious and anonymous, act. This year will only see them rising every higher in popularity. Regardless, I’ll never tire of the beautiful, pristine vocals of Hannah Reid and London Grammar’s mesmerizing, tasteful production. Today, we have the remix by Russian producer Arty, a banging rendition, yet still so blissful and soothing.

OFFICIAL VID: Jagwar Ma – Uncertainty

January 31, 2014

It’s no secret that I love Australian Madchester styled electronic psych rock band Jagwar Ma. I’m still mad tickled by the fact that lead singer Gabe came right up to my friends and I at their San Francisco debut show to chat with us. Jagwar Ma’s debut album Howlin was certainly one of my top 10s of 2013. Today, the talented act released a video for Howlin track Uncertainty, one of many stand out tracks that showcases their amazing sound. Oh, how I would love to see them live again soon!

OFFICIAL VID: Client Liaison – Free Of Fear

January 31, 2014

For more grooving, synthy dance music, we go back to Australia for this new video from duo Client Liaison. They caught my attention a few months ago with their heavily late 80’s/early 90’s influenced jams. The super sleek Free Of Fear is their latest track and its another satisfying, gratifying track resplendent with crunchy bassline and sexy saxophone. As in previous videos, the new clip captures the essence of retro cheesiness oh so perfectly.

OFFICIAL VID: Chromeo – Come Alive (feat. Toro Y Moi)

January 31, 2014

Another requisite share of the day is the brand new video for Chromeo’s funky fresh Come Alive, which features Toro Y Moi on guest vocals. It really doesn’t get much funkier or fresher than combining electrofunk duo Chromeo with chillwave funk artist Chaz Bundick. The awesomeness is literally off the charts. Of course, Chromeo videos are always epic, too! Who else can’t wait for P-Thugg and Dave-1’s new album White Women?
