It really doesn’t get much better than Me & You ◑. I mean, seriously…. HONNE and Tom Misch, on one song together? I think my life is fulfilled now that the two UK projects have united to give us a delectably grooving swathe of velveteen electro-soul and jazzy strings. We celebrated when HONNE returned last month with two new tunes after spending much of the past couple of years working quietly on their next album. And now, this?! My heart can’t take it! HONNE even offers up a fabulous music video to go with the song, featuring a dance troupe in what looks to be South Korea. Dashing Tom Misch turns in molten guitars on the uptempo swooner. HONNE’s next album Love Me/ Love Me Not will be out sometime this summer. Our eyes are peeled for a release date and pre-order details.

The boys are back! After cancelling their Wild Life festival held in June with fellow UK-mates Rudimental they took to instagram to let us know the purpose was to give their third album a proper commitment. Today, they finally let us to hear the fruits of their labor.

They took to social media again to break the terrific news: “Sorry it’s been a while – we have been missing you all immensely, so we wanted to share with you something we’ve been working on now the sun is shining and the trees are green. A few months ago, we stumbled across an amazing female vocalist named Fatoumata Diawara. While digging through her discography we discovered this beautiful sample and started messing around, having fun and experimenting with it. The result is our new song, ‘Ultimatum.’”

If this song is any indication of what’s to come from their next album, which I hope will be dropping soon, then we can expect another stellar track list of sensational songs to get lost to. The vibes of this song desperately makes me want Tom Misch to open for them on their next tour.

Fatuoumata’s new album was released today in the U.S.

I’m sure many of you have already picked up on the new Tom Misch by now, as well as the announcement of his debut full length and an accompanying tour. And I’m sure you’re celebrating all the fine news alongside the London musician’s devout bounty of fans. I still remember Tom Misch’s San Francisco sold out debut at Popscene last November like it was but a few days ago. Tom’s North American leg of his tour begins at the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco on April 12th, and I certainly plan on being there for the show, though grabbing a ticket before the show sells out might be an uphill battle. Debut album Geography drops on April 6th. For more details regarding his tour and album, head to his website, here. But for now, let’s dive into Movie, which features Tom’s own sister Polly on vocals at the start of the song, as well as Tom’s mom Carol in the single’s artwork. Movie ‘magic’ can’t begin to describe this mellow melter. It’s a signature jazzy soul and gem from Tom Misch, with funk guitars, endless vintage vibes, and his velveteen voice. I melt into the song, and sigh the longest sigh that ever was….

I still remember clear as day the moment when Tom Misch premiered this song live for the very first time at a super sold out Popscene last November. Rickshaw Stop was packed to the gills with adoring fans who just couldn’t get enough of the Londoner’s jazzy grooving R&B funk tunes, and we were all blown away by South Of The River’s seductive bass line, frisky strings, and Tom’s creamy cooing. The singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist has finally dropped South Of The River as his latest single, and now you can all partake in its swooning allure, too, complete with feisty violin by Tobie Tripp and a dazzling keys solo by Rob Araujo. It’s a once in a lifetime sort of remix that arrives to sooth the soul and move our feet as two great soul artists from London converge on this jazzy skittering, funky flittering jam. Tom Misch presents us with an official remix of Michael Kiwanuka’s Cold Little Heart. I certainly didn’t expect to hear the stylings of both these musicians on one tune, but here we are, swaying blissfully to the chic groovy, cozy sashaying number. This could be the perfect accompaniment to your romantic Valentine’s night, or it can keep you warm and happy if you’re spending the evening alone (like say… with your fluffy cat). Carmody, what a soothing soulful voice. ‘The Light of Me’, just released today, is the perfect track to enjoy the breaking of dawn. This track will part of a 5 track EP ‘5 Kinds of Loveless’ and I can’t wait to hear about relationship difficulties in each one. ‘The Light of Me’ is a folk pop tune about a “seeing how that person can become detached as they juggle numerous different lives.“

It’s really not surprising that Tom Misch’s San Francisco debut at Popscene come November 11th sold out in an instant. After all, the Londoner has to be one of the most hotly tipped, wildly buzzing, viral chart dominating artists of the past couple of years. Getting to see him live has been a long time coming, and I eagerly anticipate a phenomenal evening of jazzy electro soul. In the meantime, Tom Misch has given fellow Brit Jordan Rakei’s Midnight Mischief a purely seductive and shadowy sensual future soul makeover sure to give you chills. This buttery and creamy, fidgeting yet pensive remix is available from various outlets, here.

The new Tom Misch is so mellow sublime that I really feel like I don’t need to say much about it. I Wish needs to be listened to and felt. The twilight neo-soul sparkler is the third track from the British singer songwriter and producer’s Reverie EP, due out July 15th. Tom Misch’s creamy crooning and the laid back acoustics of this jazzy gem leave me unimaginably relaxed and content. Tom Misch’s Reverie EP can be pre-ordered now from iTunes.
