Newly signed to Nettwerk Records is a Swedish future bass and electronic producer who goes by the name of Mountain Bird. He expertly crafts hypnotic synth-laden melodies riddled with sleek beats and dripping in exquisite melancholy, as can be heard on his new single The Wolf. There’s a heavy weight to the mesmerizing track that evokes both SOHN and Until The Ribbon Breaks, but drenched in rich and cinematic future bass. The single will be on Mountain Bird’s new EP, Cubism, arriving April 27th. Mountain Bird will be performing at this year’s by:Larm music festival and supporting Iceland’s Vök on selected European dates. Visit here for dates. The Wolf can also be streamed via Spotify, here.

Stockholm’s Mountain Bird smolders and sizzles on Hearts To Gold, and its shadowy  music video is spellbinding, too. Mountain Bird is Adam Öhman, a producer/artist who creates synth laden melodies with crisp, ethereal electronic beats that serve to paint a picture of dreamy Scandinavian melancholy. Hearts To Gold engulfs me with its dark brooding aura. Though dreamy, its also a grand and powerful rush. Mountain Birds’ slick R&B vocals exude poignant passion. Hearts To Gold’s video follows a motor-cyclist as he navigates striking landscapes, culminating in a mysteriously riveting fight to the death with a fellow biker. The visuals combine with the song for an electrifying and taut experience.
