Our velveteen electronica and soul faves, HONNE, has been rolling out some spectacular collaborations lately whilst teasing us with rumors of a new album. The London outfit last linked up with dashing Tom Misch to give us Me & You ◑. And now they’ve teamed up with edgy UK artist and drummer Georgia, whom you might recall we were championing quite a lot a year ago after falling hard for her dark fidgeting, gritty bristling electronic pop. We haven’t heard from Georgia since, so we’re glad to come across her unexpected cameo (and lovely voice) on HONNE’s Location Unknown ◐, a beautifully moving, swanky stirring, and luxuriantly affecting infusion of their smooth rolling, snug melting electro-soul sound. HONNE has also shared another divine new track named 306 ◑, which you can stream below. Location Unknown ◐ is available, here, while

306 ◑ is available, here. Though we still don’t have any additional information to share regarding HONNE’s next album, a world tour has been announced for later this year. Details can be found, here.

It really doesn’t get much better than Me & You ◑. I mean, seriously…. HONNE and Tom Misch, on one song together? I think my life is fulfilled now that the two UK projects have united to give us a delectably grooving swathe of velveteen electro-soul and jazzy strings. We celebrated when HONNE returned last month with two new tunes after spending much of the past couple of years working quietly on their next album. And now, this?! My heart can’t take it! HONNE even offers up a fabulous music video to go with the song, featuring a dance troupe in what looks to be South Korea. Dashing Tom Misch turns in molten guitars on the uptempo swooner. HONNE’s next album Love Me/ Love Me Not will be out sometime this summer. Our eyes are peeled for a release date and pre-order details.

If you’re as much a long time fan of HONNE as we are, then I’m sure you’ve already been celebrating the return of the UK electro soul band. Not only have they blessed us with new music, but they’ve dropped two fresh songs all at once, and they’re making their way back on to the stage this May with a sold out intimate show at Village Underground, too.
Day 1 ◑ / Sometimes ◐ are our first introductions to creamy swooning HONNE’s forthcoming second album. Just like quintessential HONNE hit, Warm On A Cold Night, they keep us cozy and content on a cool spring day with their snazzy plush soul and romance us with their luxuriant R&B on the new diptych of tunes. HONNE has been working on their sophomore album for the last 18 months. We can’t wait to hear the fruits of their hard work. Day 1 ◑ is available, here, and Sometimes ◐ is available, here.

There’s really no better “painkiller” and mood lifter than music, as I’m sure many of you fellow music heads would agree. So, it seems rather fitting that the latest single to come from British singer songwriter Liv Dawson might be named Painkiller. We wade back into her signature soulful pop, eager for the supple caress of her voice as the 19 year old artist breathes new life into our weary hearts with the vibrant pumping, heartfelt moving ballad. On production duties is none other than our electro-soul faves, HONNE. Painkiller, which is out now on Method Records, follows on an extensive period of activity for the young rising talent, who spent the summer performing at festivals like The Great Escape and Latitude while collaborating with salute and Redlight & Kojo Funds. She also sold out her first official headlining show at London’s Omeara, and fans are eager to find out about more live dates to follow soon. The drum and bass propulsive single arrives with a music video that expands on Painkiller’s sincere heart-on-its-sleeves vibe. You can find the single at major outlets, here.

Just as HONNE’s creamy soulful offerings like Warm On A Cold Night might be perfect on a frigid winter evening, the UK electro soul band’s new groover Just Dance is perfect for a hot summer night. The opulent swooning, snazzy grooving jam is HONNE’s first new song since their debut album, and it’s as smooth and debonair as can be. You’re going to want to get up and dance to this one. I only wish that I had some truly slick moves to match the song’s jazzy resplendence and satin sheen. You can download or stream Just Dance, here.

This one’s been a long time coming as my daily share schedule has been majorly derailed by some personal emergencies these past weeks, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to let it go, not for the world. When I saw that electro-soul maestros HONNE, the perfect accompaniment to freezing winter days, had been remixed by Vancouver’s Pat Lok, I was not only surprised, but I was gleefully thrilled. Pat Lok gives satin smooth FHKD an elastic jouncing, disco squishing metamorphosis to help us break a sweat on this frigid evening. We’re warm, on a cold, cold night, and we have both HONNE and Pat Lok to thank for it. Too bad I won’t get to dance to the track in person if Pat Lok drops it as SnowGlobe Music Fest in Tahoe later this week, since I’m unable to make it out. Yes, I’m gutted.

HONNE and Kill J melted me straight through to my core yesterday when I stumbled upon a new track that involves both those incredible projects. If you’ve listened to HONNE’s debut album Warm On A Cold Night, then you should be much familiar with the fact that the LP closes with a dance leaning song named FHKD, a transcendental cut of reflective gliding, cool atmospheric electro soul. Turns out, FHKD is one of HONNE’s own favorites, and they always wanted to get a good feature on it. So, who have they linked up with for a new version of FHKD? None other than other worldly, wildly creative Danish experimental pop artist KILL J. Her uniquely ethereal voice adds a celestial quality to FHKD, a marvelous contrast to HONNE’s creamy depth. You can purchase this brilliant new version of FHKD from various outlets, here. HONNE’s debut album Warm On A Cold Night is out now via Atlantic Records.

It was but last week that I whilst sharing a remix of Fickle Friends’ Cry Baby by HONNE, I was musing over the fact that not only has the UK electro soul band given us a stellar debut album this year, but now they’re presenting us with a sudden stream of sublime remixes, too. And here they are again, with yet another fresh edit. This time, HONNE takes on satin voiced James Hersey’s glossy crisp, electro lush debut, Miss You, giving it a molten luxurious, chill soulful makeover in which I completely lose myself. A gentle drum and bass roll gives Miss You a smooth drive while elegant gliding keys take our breath away. The beautifully halcyon remix can be obtained from various outlets, here.
