If “everyone’s talking” they should be talking about James Hersey’s new tune and how fabulous he is. We haven’t heard from the Austrian singer songwriter and producer in over half a year, but things are about to ramp up as James prepares to release a debut EP. Everyone’s Talking, which tackles the subject of what really connects us in this day and age, is a co-production collaboration with Ed Sheeran collaborator Will Hicks. There is an undeniable Ed Sheeran quality to the acoustics and effortless vocals found on this soulful alt tune, a smooth strumming heartrender. James Hersey’s debut EP is due to arrive this spring via Glassnote Records. Everyone’s Talking can be streamed or purchased as a single from a bevy of outlets, here.

It was but last week that I whilst sharing a remix of Fickle Friends’ Cry Baby by HONNE, I was musing over the fact that not only has the UK electro soul band given us a stellar debut album this year, but now they’re presenting us with a sudden stream of sublime remixes, too. And here they are again, with yet another fresh edit. This time, HONNE takes on satin voiced James Hersey’s glossy crisp, electro lush debut, Miss You, giving it a molten luxurious, chill soulful makeover in which I completely lose myself. A gentle drum and bass roll gives Miss You a smooth drive while elegant gliding keys take our breath away. The beautifully halcyon remix can be obtained from various outlets, here.

Though we’ve swayed to James Hersey’s satin smooth voice this past year when he was a guest vocalist on various electronic producers’ songs, it’s been awhile since we last heard a solo piece from the Austria based singer songwriter. Turns out, James has signed to Glassnote Records, and he’s now ready to take the world by storm with new music. Debut single Miss You’s glossy crisp, electronic lush pop was written in two sleepless days and nights. The honesty and emotion that must come from such an exigent composition certainly shine through on this glassy beauty. Miss You is available now from iTunes.

Late last year, Austrian producer filous remixed RAC’s Tear You Down to gorgeous results. Now, RAC returns the favor by remixing filous’ debut original How Hard I Try, which features the always welcome satin vocals of James Hersey. The remix is a chilled out treat for an RAC tune, but we all know by now how versatile and talented RAC is, considering the plethora of music he remixes and the different types of sounds he turns out. The mellow indie dance remix twinkles softly and bounces lightly. The two producers will be touring with each other this November, too! The original is off filous’ debut Dawn EP, out now on iTunes.

It’s a trifecta of epic proportions on Coming Over, which comes from super producers Dillon Francis and Kygo and features the always soothing voice of Australia’s James Hersey. It’s nearly a surprise to see tropical house top man Kygo team up with Dillon if you didn’t hear about this during the pre-mature flash drive controversy during Coachella, but the two have teamed up to create a song that sits in between Kygo’s breezy summer warmth and Dillon’s heavier bass that soars sublimely. Hersey’s nimble voice is the perfect topping for the tune, giving it a delicate elegance and heart touching fleeciness. The song is from Dillon Francis’ just released This Mixtape Is Fire release, available on iTunes and streaming in full on Soundcloud.

In case you haven’t heard, trop house king Kygo teamed up with EDM production star Dillon Francis on a new treat. Coming Over also features vocals by emerging Austraian talent James Hersey, so it’s really quite the spectacular mosaic of hot talent. Coming Over, which debuted on Dancing Astronaut earlier today, is a mellow yet emotional ride, with ample doses of Kygo’s summery style. It’s a surprisingly laid back jam for DF, with brief interludes of rousing electro, but then again, DF is one versatile producer. And of course, James Hersey’s satin crooning is always a rousing, welcome treat. The ace collaboration was given away on USB sticks at Kygo’s Coachella set this past weekend, thrown into the crowd randomly.

New Austrian act James Hersey’s single What I’ve Done goes slick and buoyant on a fresh remix by British producer JackLNDN. It’s another one to add to the always growing list of splendid summer house jams that make it near impossible to ever feel downcast. Textured future bass flavors pair with the song’s bouncy house to create a oasis of lush joy. The original soulful, folksy, and tropical treat can be streamed below, via its video. James Hersey has been supporting Milky Chance on the first leg of their US Tour and there are rumors brewing of a Kygo and DIllon Francis collaboration. Remember the name!
