A producer out of Los Angeles proves himself one to watch with his new track, a ravishing remix of Roy English and badhabit’s OUTA MY HEAD. Skrezz has been making music for seven years, and he’s had much success with his past remixes, but he’s beginning a new chapter with the downtempo electro and lifting progressive vibes found on his uplifting house remix. Sometimes, it’s rather tormenting to have someone stuck on your mind, but in this case, it’s obviously a euphoric and rapturous experience. Skrezz captures the joys of being in love with his iridescent edit, which channels Porter Robinson and Madeon’s melodic soaring ascents. You can download Skrezz’s remix, here.

Roy English first caught our attention as a guest vocalist on other artists’ singles, but that creamy soulful voice is no less perfect when wooing us from the folds of his own song. It’s near impossible not to swoon and sway to Hotel Pools, his smoky languorous new R&B pop single. The mellow drifting ballad is like a cool draft on a hot day. We sneak into hotel pools alongside Roy English as he takes us on a dreamy cruise. The azure pools we find are sublime reprieves from the humid & sticky summer air that surrounds us in Roy English’s world. Hotel Pools is out now via iTunes. You can also stream the single via Soundcloud below.

Haiti’s Michael Brun teams up Roy English on a lusciously melodic indie dance song named Tongue Tied July. Cool vocals and soothing beats are suffused with a beautiful tropical radiance. The level of euphoria on this tune is off the charts. Get ready to sigh to the blissful serenity of Tongue Tied July, and let it join the top ranks of summer love songs steadily streaming these days. Tongue Tied July will be out on Michael Brun’s own Kid Coconut Records come August 7th.

I only found out about a Norwegian production act named Sonny Laven a few weeks ago, via a superb remix of SOHN’s Bloodflows, one of my favorite tracks of 2014. The producer is equally entrancing on an official remix of super producer Alesso’s Cool, featuring Roy English. Its a sublimely chill experience in multiple ways. Serene and cooling, the deep and melodic house edit is a dreamy, hazy summer treat. The remix will be out on Def Jam come May 12th.

Powerhouse producer Alesso’s Cool, featuring Roy English, has been getting some mad remix treatments of late. The latest one not to be passed up is a swank remix by Autograf. The Chicago based act been relatively quiet for the past month, so it’s cause for celebration that they’ve revealed a new one. Once again showcasing an impressive versatility after their series of future tropical releases, Autograf has crafted a killer French house version of Cool. Frankly, the remix is even “cooler” than the original, with its smooth Daft Punk funk meets radiant summer house atmosphere. I’m keeping this one on rotation till I get to chill out to it at a pool party surrounded by palm trees and beautiful people. And then some.

Alesso and Sweater Beats are certainly two people I didn’t expect to put together, yet here we are, with a wicked remix of Alesso’s Cool, featuring Roy English, by the talented producer from Brooklyn. The official edit is part of collection of remixes for Cool to honor Alesso’s highly anticipated upcoming debut album. As expected, the remix is an ornate future bass and chill trap take, but its also a surprisingly grandiose and radiant beast of a tune for Sweater Beats. As a fan of horns and horns aplenty, I’m digging how Sweater Beats has crafted a horn like sound out of the song’s synths. I wonder if Sweater Beats dropped this at SXSW last week?

Keeping the invigorating house jams going with this new remix of mega producer Alesso’s Cool, featuring Roy English, by Australian producer CRNKN. He takes the track to a whole new world, moving it from its progressive house roots into a spacious near future house but more mellow and entrancing soundscape. It’s a smooth banger with just as much energy as the original, but in a more restrained and gliding fashion.
