We might as well be dancing in the Caribbean right now as we bask in the tropical beauty of this gorgeous remix from Danish producer JOEL. He’s given Norwegian siren Ina Wroldsen a balmy dance makeover on his summery edit of the buzzing artist’s single, Strongest. Sia meets Shakira as Ina Wroldsen serenades us with her exquisite voice over JOEL’s luminously buoyant house. The mellifluously lifting deep house remix is a free download, here.

Enigmatic South London sonic magician &around, who first surfaced several months ago with a warm glowing house/pop hybrid named Dreaming All Night, has followed up that debut in fitting style with soothing Without Your Love. He envelopes us with warmth and radiance on the track, flawlessly blending chill tropical house with synthy pop on the endearing track. Despite its phosphorescence and blissed out balminess, there’s a melancholic wistfulness to the song, too. The singer songwriter and producer, who’s been ensconced in the studio working on his new material, explains:

“I wrote the original song idea in Bali during a tropical storm I got to New Zealand about a month later and recorded a vocal sample of a woman singing to Maori gods next to the largest tree in the world (Tāne Mahuta) which sounded great dropped into this demo, so I booked a studio just outside Aukland in NZ parked outside in my campervan with my girlfriend for a couple days and finished tracking the song. it’s about realising how sad it would be being away from someone you love – when they’ve become such a big part of your life.” You can re-visit our feature of &around’s debut single, here.

Talk is a gorgeously affecting, tender stirring beauty from Scottish outfit November Lights that melds chill indietronica with alt pop. You can stream the track, here, if you missed out on our prior feature of the song. Beirut based producer Imad takes full advantage of its atmospheric sonics on a lusciously bounding dance remix. Talk now prances with endless vibrant energy, but it’s also a fleecy warm caress under the dexterous production guidance of Imad. His emotive and melodic house edit comes while Imad is celebrating a million plays on his previous original. You can stream or download the remix for free via other platforms, here.

We’ve said it countless times previously, but let’s all say it together again: Nevve is everywhere! The much-in-demand vocal talent lends her immaculate voice to yet another fine electronic tune, soaking 3LAU’s On My Own with her sweet and agile cooing. The Las Vegas producer has crafted a crisp and iridescent dance track to lift our spirits and enamor our hearts. We dance… whether on our own or with someone special is irrelevant. What matters is the warm contentment radiating throughout our heart thanks to this smooth pumping, honeyed soaring house gem. On My Own will be on 3LAU’s new album Ultraviolet, arriving this Friday February 16th. 3LAU is generously and kindly donating all profits from On My Own to F Cancer, too. There’s something magical about the city of Los Angeles. It embodies both hope and devastation, naivety and jadedness. As such, it’s spawned so many songs of all kinds, some joyous, some crestfallen. Brighton based producer OKO and honeyed songstress Rosie Darling paid tribute to L.A. on a song of the same name, and now SISTEK, a producer from Chile, has given the track a sparkly, airy remix that oozes summer nostalgia and aching pining. Despite its melancholic undertones, the balmy melodic house remix also lifts our spirits with its crisp prance and glowing warmth. The remix is out now on Aux Records, and you can download it for free, here

Ecotek is a from Denver with a penchant for a wide array of electronic genres, including deep house, electro, techno, and atmospheric. He goes the chill melodic house route on his latest exhilarating dance original, By Your Side. It’s a summery burst of prismatic sunset skies and idyllic island bliss. It may be raining cats and dogs outside my office tonight, but Ecotek provides a brief respite from the bitter cold with his earthy stomping, verdant lunging electronica. The single, as well as an extended version of it, are both available via iTunes, here.

There’s nothing like some chill melodic house to tenderize the heart on a frigid winter night. Norwegian and Swedish duo The Union comforts the soul and thaws our icy evening with Forgetting Yesterday, an electronic song that builds from mellow strumming Broken Back-like earthiness and summer balmy Kygo-evoking tranquility to great apexes of ebullient lunging Gryffin-esque euphoria. The soaring, lifting dazzler features

Petter Hedström on heartfelt vocals. Purchase/stream, here.

It was a little over a week ago that we featured Jersey singer songwriter Evangelia for the first time on IHM. She enthralled us with her golden cooing on her last single, Still Think About You. We’re thrilled that we’re blessed with her voice once again as she lends it to a new original from Texas’ MKJ. He drenches us with a summery effusion of melodic house, dancehall, and future pop on What About Now. MKJ, who recently returned to Tipsy Records, has crafted a unique and catchy electronic chimera that will inspire you to dance through the night. It’s a nimble bounding, elastic jouncing, and mellifluous stirring jam. You can also stream What About Now via Spotify, here.

Somewhere between the crystalline enchantment of winter and the balmy last nights of summer lies &around and this newcomer’s debut single, Dreaming All Night. Breezy plinking house and warm glowing pop interweave on the South Londoner’s entry into the electronic scene. Dreaming All Night is like tropical Cheat Codes and Sam Feldt, with a hint of Kygo and a whole lot of saccharine pop nostalgia. We’re more than happy to ‘dream all night’ to &around, and we’re excited to hear more from the new project.

Though we can’t help but feel rather crestfallen and despondent that Aash Mehta has moved away from us and the Bay, we find immense solace and endless elation in the electronic producer’s latest single, No Secrets. It’s a beautifully emotive, orchestral lush, and grandly rousing future bass opus with honey smoked vocals from Los Angeles’ Alex Lusader. It’s also a rather personal track for the artists involved in the song, which is more than apparent in No Secrets’ heartfelt and ardent design. Alex Lusader explains: “No Secrets is the story of me telling my loved ones a dark secret I was harboring for 12 years. It was as if I was held captive by this secret, holding it in for as long as I did, keeping it from the people I cared about most. As hard as it is for me to write about it, it is also very freeing all at the same time. Even though it still makes me nervous to talk about it, having the power to speak my mind and gain my control back is the best thing I could ever do to let myself move forward and stop living my days in the past. By singing about my experiences, all I could ever wish for is to inspire others to speak up, free themselves, and live life the way it was intended to be lived: Happy & Free.”

Aash Mehta, now based out of Chicago, continues his steady ascent in the crowded production scene to stand above his peers and besides fellow melodic bass/future bass luminaries with this stunning new song. No Secrets is both earnestly tender and powerfully moving, a dichotomy that lifts us out of darkness and into the light of hope despite all the personal baggage and unspoken secrets that might be weighing each of us down. Stream/purchase NO Secrets, here.
