In just two short days, Clean Cut Kid’s debut album Felt will be out. I can’t be more elated after having been a fan of the Liverpool four piece since they appeared over a year ago with that wildly infectious first single Vitamin C and a fresh sound that melds reedy rock with vibrant pop. The band, who are out touring right now with the amazing Michael Kiwunaka, offers up the title track from their debut album ahead of its release. Felt is just as its title suggests, a fuzzy pop dazzler much like everything else we’ve loved from CCK, an irresistible serving of windswept chugging, anthemic swiping guitar pop. Felt comes with an endearing music video that leaves us feeling like we just hung out with our down to earth musician buddies and had a load of fun. If you haven’t pre-ordered Clean Cut Kid’s debut album yet, you can do so, here.

I’ve been inexorably enamored with Liverpool four piece Clean Cut Kid and their fresh fusion of earthy drawling rock and vivid hooking pop since their arrival over a year ago on debut single Vitamin C. Today, the band announced their long awaited debut album. They’ve also released a video for new single Leaving You Behind, which was BBC Radio 1′s hottest record just last night. It’s been nearly a year since I was fortunate enough to catch a far too short Clean Cut Kid set at SXSW. Here’s to hoping that Clean Cut Kid will follow up on the release of their debut album with a tour that will bring them across the Atlantic. For now, I’m eager to order their album Felt before it’s out on Polydor come April 28th. And I’m more than happy to loop the video for bright zestful, blithe gusting Leaving You Behind on repeat.  Clean Cut Kid is extra synth blusterous and pop lustrous on their new infectious jam. Pre-order debut album Felt from major outlets, here, and receive Leaving You Behind instantly!

Clean Cut Kid shared a music video for their recent single Make Believe, a vibrant hooking fusion of balmy alt pop and earthy rock that I’ve fallen head over heels for. I promptly shared the video straight away on I Heart Moosiq’s twitter. Fast forward several hours, and the Liverpudlian band has unveiled an additional treat on YouTube, an acoustic version of said song that puts the dusty melancholic underbelly of the song on full display. The stripped down rendition is an endearing listen. Watch the video for the lush sweeping regular version of Make Believe below, and purchase the song on iTunes.

You all know by now I’m quite the devout fan when it comes to Liverpudlian band Clean Cut Kid. They stole my heart the moment they appeared on the scene with Vitamin C over a year ago, and I can’t be more excited that Clean Cut Kid is finishing up a debut album for early next year. Clean Cut Kid has, as expected, been a fast rising band back home in the UK. New song Make Believe is Radio 1′s Hottest Reccord and the band has a 10 date headlining tour up ahead. In fact, they just finished a 32 date festival schedule this summer. While they haven’t made it to San Francisco yet, I greatly look forward to that day. After all, they were such a treat to catch at SXSW back in March. My love for Clean Cut Kid only intensifies as they bring us their vivid fusion of alt pop and earthy rock on Make Believe, a song as bright and infectious as that very first single, Vitamin C. Make Believe takes me back to the long days of summer with its breezy interlude and an overall blithesome, sun kissed zestfulness. The single is available now on iTunes.

Though the name We Used To Be In Love seems a rather heartbreaking, tragic affair, Clean Cut Kid leaves me beaming in joy with their new single. The Liverpool quartet has been one of my favorite UK bands for a year now, ever since I encountered Vitamin C, and I’ve never been more excited to watch their buzz continue to grow. Clean Cut Kid’s heartache on We Used To Be In Love is a rollicking affair. The rock song chugs along with much verve, heavy yet upbeat. The earthiness of Clean Cut Kid’s music always evokes The War On Drugs for me, but infused with plenty of vibrant pop hooks and maybe even a touch of Journey this time around. We Used To Be In Love is the title track from a long awaited debut EP due out August 8th via Polydor. Pre-order the EP from iTunes and get We Used To Be In Love instantly. Though I had a little taste of Clean Cut Kid live in Austin back in March, I’m praying to the music gods that it won’t be too long before the band makes their way across the pond to California.

Clean Cut Kid is high on my list of SXSW must sees. After all, if I don’t catch them in Austin, I don’t know when I might get another opportunity to see the Liverpool fan whom I’ve been crazy about for over nine long months now, ever since I heard debut single Vitamin C. It comes as no surprise that the band just sold out their UK tour and have been named as Ones to Watch by Google and Apple. I’ve called them exactly that since day one. Today, the band has revealed the B-side for their new single Pick Me Up, a weathered cinematic gem named In Your Eyes.  The shaggy, rustic song ropes me right in with its Bob Dylan and The War On Drugs like appeal. In Your Eyes and Pick Me Up will be released on 7″ as an exclusive for this year’s Record Store Day. Everyone, please look out for one of these beauties for me, thanks.

I was a lost cause the moment I heard Clean Cut Kid’s debut song, Vitamin C. The Liverpool based band offered up a thumping, striking debut that made it obvious they were going to make waves in the indie rock scene. Sure enough, Clean Cut Kid has amassed quite a following back home in the UK, and I’m sure they’re winning over fresh hearts anew with new song Pick Me Up, which comes at us today alongside a music video accompaniment. Pick Me Up, which premiered on Radio 1 earlier today and gets release in March on Polydor, is a bright and adventurous pop rock gem. Its driving momentum and lofty choruses “pick me up” with vigor. The song is only the band’s third single, but it’s another fabulous specimen and fine example of their blend of fuzzy pop and earthy rock. Clean Cut Kid will be touring through March alongside Fickle Friends in the UK. Here’s to hoping they’ll make their way across the pond later this year.
