Yesterday, I encountered a French producer and musician named Alvan for the very first time. And I was utterly blown away by his musical talent. While the first song I listened to is his brand new single, Bodhyanga, featuring Velvet, it’s his not as new remix of Incubus’ Stellar that I want to dive into first and foremost. That’s right… a remix of Incubus, and it’s absolutely brilliant, too. Incubus’ Stellar is most certainly an alt rock classic, and Alvan expertly transforms it into an ethereal and airy contemporary electronic masterpiece. Odesza and Jai Wolf like effervescence combine with hypnotic entrancing deep house on this meticulously crafted, complexly layered work of art.
