If I were given the honor of naming Softer Still’s new single, I would’ve arrived at the same name they bestowed upon it, too. Bliss follows on the heels of the UK quartet’s debut New Age, which certainly won me over, as well as plenteous IHM lurkers if the response was any indication at all. Sun dappled surf rock and shimmering dream pop combine for an abundance of Wild Nothing meets The Cure like nostalgic euphoria. Bliss it out now via Label Fandango. With two immense songs as good as Bliss and New Age, I can’t imagine what’s next. Twirl with me to breakout debut New Age with me below.

Surrey, UK indie dream pop band Softer Still arrives with a thoroughly intoxicating debut named New Age. I can’t help but surrender to its airy glistening lusciousness. The Naked and Famous meets Wild Nothing on the pastel hazy and gossamer sublime beauty. I welcome this new four piece with open arms, eager to hear more of their wispy gorgeous music.

It’s Christmas in Springtime for this Atlas Bound fan. Nary two weeks have passed since the Next Wave signed Australian duo dropped sublime gem Lullaby. But a few days have passed since tickets went on sale for their San Francisco debut at Popscene come June 10th. As if all that isn’t enough excitement and joy already, Atlas Bound has also revealed another brand new tune! It’s time to melt once again to the DJs turned band’s velveteen brand of soul and chill electronica on aptly named Softer Still. Atlas Bound’s sweet, tender cooing caress ever gently, emitting a bittersweet poignancy enclosed in a cottony plush bed of pleasantly lulling groove. Softer Still comes from Atlas Bound’s forthcoming EP, Lullaby, out April 29th. Pre-order from iTunes.
