Austrian twins MYNTH released a bonus EP named ECHO after their album elevator was out. Among its four captivating synthpop and experimental electro tunes is this ravishing gem, ELEVATOR, whose video somehow evaded our attention since last month. Now that we’re back and all recovered (almost… not really…) from SXSW, it’s time to dive into the glorious abstract clip and ELEVATOR’s slick phosphorescence. Make sure you take in ECHO in full on Bandcamp, too, here.

Viennese twins Giovanna and Mario return as Austrian duo MYNTH on bewitching experimental electropop single SMOG, a surreal and heady soundscape accompanied by an enthralling and esoteric music video. Dissonant synths, burbling beats, and MYNTH’s svelte billowing vocals pick us up and carry us like the wind on this gorgeous gem. SMOG is simultaneously brittle and fragile, as well as emotionally charged and commanding. We flutter and tumble in the air alongside the duo as we look forward to their sophomore album Parallels, out November 24th. Pre-order the album, here.

Viennese electro pop duo MYNTH is but more proof that musical talent runs in the family. The project consists of twin sister and brother Giovanna and Mario, and they ascribe their sound to the special connection they share as twins. Instead of finishing each other’s sentences, they connect through music. They captivate us now with their music video for their single Mirrors. Mirrors is a glacial whirring, synth warbling song about reflections, or rather the way the two reflect each other’s differences and similarities. Some trip hop moodiness imbibes the song’s electronic soundscape, giving it a HÆLOS– like feel. The single can be purchased from iTunes, here.
