LOYAL is another brilliant UK act we’ve been following for quite some time, so the arrival of theri debut EP, Light Up For You, warrants some gleeful celebration and a sublime visit of one of their new tracks off the release. The Brighton based collective presents us with satin sleek vocals on its smooth melting, sensual grooving title track, an absolutely intoxicating affair. Jamie xx like electronic ambiance meets Rhye-like sensuousness and TENDER-like smoldering vibes on the song. LOYAL’s debut EP is out via IAMSOUND.

There are plenty of shows I’m greatly looking forward to this summer, but at the tippy top of my list is Jaymes Young’s stop in San Francisco at Popscene on July 13th. We’re no strangers to how sweetly melting his music can be, but the Los Angeles based, Seattle born singer songwriter brings us a more gritty pumping, grimy glitching form of his alt R&B/soul and electronic pop on Don’t You Know, and it’s this bigger, bolder sound is just as swooning an affair. Don’t You Know, which drips with restless infatuation and agitated desire, was written on a sleepless hot summer night. Jaymes says: “I think a little bit of my sweat ended up in the song.” Don’t You Know is the latest taste from Jaymes Young’s highly anticipated debut album, Feel Something, out everywhere on Friday, June 23rd via Please Rewind / Atlantic.
