Los Angeles’ Io Echo are definitely a very unique duo that utilizes a very interesting blend of influences and instrumentals. I first found out about them when I caught them opening for TV On The Radio. Their songs can sound very different due to the mixed use of sounds, but there’s always a very exotic and gothy undertone to their music. When The Lilies Die is a very scuzzy, dreamy pop song off their upcoming debut album. The accompanying video is related to the upcoming debut’s album cover. That debut, Ministry of Sound, will drop on 9/11. We’re sure to hear more about them as the debut approaches.
