An astounding trifecta of talent brings us what is sure to be one of the electronic anthems of this ongoing summer. Canadian duo Zeds Dead teamed up with Diplo on wildly infectious Blame, which features long time IHM favorite Scandipop artist Elliphant on spunky magnetic vocals. Blame is a mellifluous cross between electronic pop, future bass, and dubstep. The monster of a regal sweeping single is available from various outlets, here. I have a feeling some tremendous remixes will be coming our way soon. I can’t wait to hear them all.

Toronto duo Free N Losh have turned in a grand future bass remix of fellow Canadian’s Zeds Dead’s Collapse, featuring Memorecks. Free N Losh give the big hit a more uplifting, melodic beauty, with a weightlessness that’s far more honeyed and soothing, but they also retain some of the brooding simmer of the original song. Poignant vocals pair up with elegant, wispy piano, while incredibly fiery and bold saxophone makes a magnificent appearance in the sultry last third of the song, courtesy of Tayler Rix from the UK. It’s a cinematic journey, one that I possibly enjoy even more than the original.

Hey, kids, I’m jumping back on again for a few must shares, I just can’t stop getting the word out on good tuneage. How can I keep something as wild as this to myself? Canadian electronic duo Zeds Dead unites with Dutch producer Oliver Heldens to slay it on a massive track named You Know. Glorious bass meets deep future house for an explosion of jaw dropping sound. You Know will be available on February 2nd on Spinnin’ Records.

Today, I have another remix of Jack Ü’s Kiesza featuring Take Ü There to share, after having shared the sick Tchami remix yesterday.  This one is also part of the package of remixes coming out on December 23 via OWSLA / Mad Decent, and it’s the perfect weekend rager, courtesy of Canadian duo Zeds Dead. It’s as exuberant and bass heavy as we’d expect from the seasoned vets.

Maybe it’s a little late on a Monday night for a wicked electronic track like this one, but then again…. nahhh. UK producer DJ Fresh teamed up recently with soulful chanteuse Ella Eyre, who first spellbound me on her songs with Rudimental. Those powerhouse vocals, full of passion… they’re simply too amazing and moving. Their song together, Gravity, had all the makings to be the next huge UK hit, pairing vibrant drum and bass production by DJ Fresh with Ella’s voice, and we know from Rudimental how well Ella pairs with drum and bass. Well, get this…. Canadian production duo Zeds Dead decided they wanted to create an aggressive electro house banger out of the original, and it will knock your socks off. The mega duo craft a helluva ride with the remix, alternating between soaring, melodic moments and raw, acidic stretches.

There’s a hip hop artist from Toronto that you need to get up on, and his name is Omar LinX. The rapidly rising rapper even teams up with producers Pro Logic and Zeds Dead on his first single off his M.O.R. (Music Or Revenge) album, coming December 2nd. Dosey Doe is a song that starts off delicately with siren like female vocals beckoning in the background. LinX’s gliding delivery pairs perfectly with the gritty electronic backdrop crafted by Pro Logic and Zeds Dead on the saccharine electronic pop and hip hop cocktail. It doesn’t get more catchier than this.

This song is too dang good not to share it again now that there’s a super trippy animated music video. I was pretty surprised last month when I found out Twin Shadow, D’Angelo Lacy, and Canadian electronic duo Zeds Dead had collaborated on a new house tune named Lost You. Then I hit play, and I found out the formula of triple acts works wonders. Twin Shadow’s glorious new wave flavored style meshes quite perfectly with D’Angelo Lacy’s soul and R&B, as well as Zeds Dead’s sick production wizardy.

This surprise collaboration thoroughly delighted my ears when I came upon it this morning. It’s one of my favorite new tunes today, no doubt. Canadian electronic production duo Zeds Dead dropped the massive Lost You, and it features both Los Angeles crooner D’Angelo Lacy and Brooklyn new wavey synthpop act Twin Shadow. I told you it’s a surprise collaboration. I wouldn’t have guessed Zeds Dead and Twin Shadow would link up, but they have! Lost You is a feel good, powerful, groovy electronic track that combines Twin Shadow’s glorious, optimistic flair with D’Angelo Lacy’s velvety vocals, all on top of Zeds Dead’s blaring, slick beats. I literally feel my heart swell when I listen to this explosive, gratifying jam.
