This year, I was fortunate to catch rising production whiz Wingtip live twice. Aside from a dazzling set at Live 105′s BFD festival over the summer, Wingtip opened for Odesza during their three glorious nights at the Greek in Berkeley this fall. And I can assure you, it was well worth getting there early for this Brooklyn based San Francisco native. Wingtip is heading out on his first headline tour in early 2018, and he’ll be hitting the Independent in San Francisco on February 16th. Hopefully, he’ll bring this new track with him. Space For Us enlists Youngr for his smooth vocals. Wingtip heads into RAC meets Gryffin like dance pop territory with slick guitar licks on Space For Us, a luminously glowing confection that seamlessly blends Youngr’s springy infectious pop with the producer’s vivacious and contagious electronica. Space For Us is an effulgent dose of summer we greatly need. The single is available, here.

Though it’s been over half a year since I caught Youngr at SXSW (and was honored to manage one of the showcases her performed at), I feel like I’m still glowing from that stupendous set. The British singer songwriter and producer, who’s also an insanely talented drummer, left the crowd with their jaws agape with his performance. He even did some live remixing, all the while singing and crushing it on percussion. The electropop artist returns to give us a dose of that fiery spirit and nimble agility on new single What’s Next. It was produced and written by Youngr himself, with Asia Whiteace (Nile Rodgers, Hailee Steinfeld, Zedd) joining him on the songwriting side of things. What’s Next showcases Youngr’s vivacious sound. Finger clacking, synth whirring energy abounds on the dashing torrent of euphoria. If you get a chance to experience What’s Next and Youngr’s other songs live, I highly recommend you get out there, stat. What’s Next can be streamed/downloaded, here.

If you haven’t caught British singer songwriter, producer, and drumming virtuoso Youngr live yet, you need to get out there and see him, now. Youngr blew me away with his performance at a showcase I was managing at SXSW. Not only were his originals wonderfully energetic and engaging live, but Youngr’s live bootlegs are, to put it succinctly, amazeballs (I got to witness his skilled rendition of The Temper Traps’ Sweet Disposition, and it was certainly a highlight of my trip to Austin). Youngr recently signed to Island Records. While early single Out Of My System is still a favorite of mine from his growing catalog, I’m swiftly making room at the top for new song ‘93. The vibrant electro and funk tinged synth pop song is a debonair ode to day dreamers and doodlers, and it’s as catchy as can be with its exuberant production, lively synths, grandiose percussion, and Youngr’s ever smooth vocals. ‘93 comes accompanied by an adorable visualizer which combines home video footage with present day shots of Youngr on his complicated looking drum and instrument set. ‘93 is out via all major retailers, here.

British singer songwriter and producer Youngr was a dazzling beast to be reckoned with when he took the stage at WFNM’s official SXSW showcase in Austin last month, an event that I was proud to be serving for as operations manager. The buzz worthy artist incited the crowd into a frenzy with hits like Out Of My System and Too Keen. He even busted out a live bootleg of The Temper Trap’s Sweet Disposition, remixing the song live with a barrage of fresh percussion. It’s fitting that Youngr’s new single is named Monsters, because that man is a monster on the drums! Monsters is a funk tinged, electro pulsing banger which Youngr’s Dario Younger Brigham-Bowes co-wrote with Sam Romans. It’s a sleek seductive, vibrant hooking jam and a mighty fine preview from Youngr’s debut full length expected to arrive later this year.

Some congratulations are in order, considering the fact that Youngr has signed to Island Records. I, for one, am still immensely addicted to the British singer songwriter’s debut single, Out Of My System. Yet, I can’t help but fall head over heels for Youngr’s new single on Island too. I guess you can say I’m very keen on this artist, whose new song just happens to be named Too Keen. Youngr presents us with more of his silky smooth, creamy rich R&B pop on his new single, a tune that was promptly added to Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist upon release. Too Keen can be found now on all digital retailers and streaming services.

Youngr arrived out of London four months ago to bedazzle us with his very first song, a creamy smooth yet vibrant throbbing electronic pop jewel named Out Of My System. Swedish dance pros Galantis is apparently very fond of the song, too, having offered up a ravishing remix. Galantis gives Out Of My System a balmy buoyant makeover. The glossy smooth, bubbly bright edit takes us deep into the tropics on a hot summer day. For a moment, I’m convinced I’m gleefully lost in a magical jungle, surrounded by rich foliage and prismatic plumed creatures. For the moment, the end of summer isn’t drawing near, and the glum fog that has hovered over us all season long in this part of the San Francisco Bay has dissipated. Galantis’s Youngr remix is pure escapist bliss. And it’s out now, on iTunes.
