On July 6th, Years & Years will be releasing their sophomore album Palo Santo via Interscope Records. To say we’re excited is an understatement. We’ll never “get over” our love for the band and their vibrant synthpop songs, much less Olly Alexander’s dashing magnetism. With their album news comes the first official single from Palo Santo, a bubbly glimmering pop gem named If You’re Over Me, out today on all digital platforms. In case you missed the trailer for Years & Years’ trailer for their new album, which stars Dame Judi Dench, have a good gander, here. Olly explains of Years & Years new single:  “This is a song about trying to stay friends with an ex. Spoiler alert – it doesn’t often work. In fact, in my experience, the relationship often ends up ruined. ‘If You’re Over Me’ is about the emotional torture that ensues – meeting up and making out, then breaking up all over again, then making out some more.” Pre-order Palo Santo, here.

King will always be one of my favorites from British electronic trio Years & Years. Hearing its familiar blooming melody in any shape or form tends to bring me back in time to when IHM was gunning hard for the spectacularly talented purveyors of R&B pop and dance music, lead by charismatic frontman Olly Alexander. When I crossed paths with a fresh new edit of the tune, I eagerly dove into it, hoping for the best. UK producer Alex Wells does a spectacular turn on the song, remixing it into a high octane jam with steely edges and squishy springs. It’s a darker and more hypnotic version of King that runs through a gauntlet of hybrid dance genres from trance to deep and future house, and it’s a free download, here.

Who can resist some brand new Years & Years, much less one a Years & Years as creamy pulsating good as Meteorite? Olly Alexander makes our planet spin with his ever swooning crooning as this disco dance pop jam gets us on our feet moving. Meteorite comes from the new Bridget Jones’s Baby soundtrack. It’s been a long time since we’ve been presented with any new Years & Years. Meteorite fills the vacuous hole that’s been tormenting us in their absence.

There’s no way in hell that a Sam Feldt remix of Years & Years could go wrong. And as expected, it goes very, very right. The venerated Dutch producer takes the electro R&B and pop darlings’ Shine for a spin, giving it an uplifting house refix with exhilarating progressions and gratifying full bodied synths. Sam Feldt will fill the whole of your being with warm ooey gooey goodness with this one. Shine is an understatement.

British trio Life Of Dillon, the fellows who gave us that anthem of a hooking tune Overload earlier this year, recently covered Years & Years’ Eyes Shut, delivering a melting ballad more than worthy of a listen, here, if you haven’t checked it out yet. San Francisco’s own Justice Skolnik has remixed the track, giving it more ethereal and balmy qualities on a gleaming edit that brings in elements both futuristic and tropical. I’ve fallen in love with Eyes Shut all over again, thanks to both Life Of Dillon and Justice Skolnik. Download the remix for free, here.

The really young music heads out there might not realize that Breathe is actually a song by Sean Paul and Blu Cantrell from the early 2000′s. Instead, they probably think that it’s a Years & Years song. Contrary to that notion, the timeless hooks of Breathe have been circulating and delighting souls for much longer. A new version of Breathe comes along, courtesy of mysterious new act named Boy Kiss Girl. While it doesn’t stray as far from Years & Years’ dance infused Breathe, this is a chill and melodic house version more reminiscent of earthy, soulful acts like Broken Back and Milky Chance. Download Boy Kiss Girls’ sweetly soothing, warmly summery Breathe for free, here.

Though the Years and Years remixes keep rolling in on the daily, I’ll never mind the flood, as long as the occasional gem, like this one, arises. The hot UK band’s infectious single Desire gets the Jerry Folk treatment on the latest such treasure to surface. The Norwegian producer gives it a special deep disco house remix, creating a Desire that bumps with a regal bassline and careens with wild electro funk effulgence.

Finnish producer Lenno takes a break from dropping superbly radiant originals and producing enchanting electronic pop gems for other artists (ie. Olivera) to offer up an invigorating remix of red hot UK band Years and Years’ hit anthem King. The producer brings along his colorful palette of nu-disco and electro splendor on the uplifting dance banger. It’s a King that’s regal on a whole new level. Download for free, here.

Dominican Republic based production duo Lash is the latest talented electronic act to focus their editing skills on UK sensation Years & Years’ colossal hit, King. And boy, have they crafted a dazzling, fierce remix. Lash’s Years & Years is a vehemently pounding and furiously thumping deep house creature that seduces and hooks. Paired with copious future house edginess, this is a dark and thrilling monarch, one with a playful smirk and a compelling magnetism.
