I don’t know who it is that ye. and Far & Few want, but they want this person so bad that they’ve strung all the words together and added an extra “u” to the title of their beast of a collaboration. New York production phenom ye. and new duo on our radar Far & Few team up to give us a glorious trap and bass extravaganza named “iwantuu” rife with thunderous drums, pounding beats, and an intriguing Eastern aura to its frisky whimsical strings. It’s a bold, brassy, brazen track that amuses and tickles, excites and thrills. The super-charged arrangement, a concerted masterpiece, is a free download, here.

It’s been awhile since I’ve listened to Kanye West’s Power, that iconic song off his 2010 album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Australia’s Joe Mason brings it back with a fresh new edit that melds his remix of Stalgia’s BDY together with the Kanye original. The end chimera is a unique and charged experience, a rhythmic driving, expansive and cinematic future bass anthem interwoven with orchestral grandeur and an abundance of Ye intensity. Not only does period punctuation seem to abound on this next one, but a conjoining of two ground breaking acts sends us to new levels of heady euphoria as New York buzz sensation ye. gives visionary R&B and hip hop duo THEY. a scintillating makeover. ye.’s remix of Truth Be Told is a whomping, whizzing trap affair. ye. says that he’d been holding on to this one for way too long. ye. has been one of our favorite fast rising production stars this past year, and we’re absolutely thrilled that the young prodigy from New York has chosen to drop a Mothica remix for his latest enthralling release. In fact, he’s chosen to re-work one of our favorites off the Brooklyn singer songwriter’s recent EP, Heavy Heart. Dark rumbling, glassy quivering Self-Destructive gets a royal ye. treatment on which it’s turned into a deft skipping, lithesome burbling chill trap affair. ye.’s remix is light on its feet, yet packs a gut wrenching punch. You can download the remix for free, here.

We’ve been head over heels for young production prodigy ye. this past year. The wunderkind teamed up with a plethora of other worldly talent over the course of those months. ye. reunites with opvs and links up with Andrew Ronck to give us a cinematic summer romper named Small Talk. Now, I’m not one for small talk, being the introvert that I am, but this is small talk I’d love to partake in. The song ambles and meanders like a feather carried in gentle gusts of unpredictable wind. Small Talk is a light hearted dalliance, a radiant shimmering yet chill ambient future beats aria with bright horns, nimble plinking chords, and airy beats. You can snag the dreamy sparkler, here.

This next crushing jam involves not one favorite IHM producer, not two favorite IHM producers, but a trifecta of them, and as one would expect from such a remix union, this track is pure fire. I’m already such a massive fan of Pluto and ye’s future trap spectacular, Feel The Fire. Now, Austin auteur Bronze Whale has given it his own spin, tossing it into a turbulent sea of frenetic chops and urgent trills. The end result is a relentless wall of invigorating yet bewitching chill trap and resolute bass. Most unexpected of all is the glorious drum and bass finish at the end. Bronze Whale’s remix is a work of grandeur, one that suffuses me with welcome vitality and spirit. I feel ready for anything now. I’ve faced the fire, felt the fire, and become the fire. The remix is a free download, here.

“If Cashmere Cat and Marshmello had a child” … some of these soundcloud comments are wild! But seriously, listen to Ye (pronounced Yea) new song ‘dffle’. It flips Demi Lovato’s ‘Cool For The Summer’ and has me curious about what else Ye has in store for us.

Heads up, everyone (ahem, me) who loved Pluto and ye.’s transcendental collaboration Breath when it arrived several months ago. A new vocal mix of the track has arrived, and it’s absolutely sensational! Just when I thought I couldn’t fall any harder for the chopping, slicing, percolating future trap opus, these young production whizzes present us with Feel The Fire, adding fierce vocals by a mysterious singer in the process. Pluto and ye. have added fuel to this What So Not meets Odesza inferno, and it burns bright and magnificent. Snag the tense consuming track for free, here.

Young rising ye. first barreled into our lives from New York alongside his buddy Pluto. Their collaborative effort Breath was a jaw dropping, mind numbing future trap masterpiece that you must check out if you missed it last month. I’m tacking it on below. Today, ye. makes a solo stand on a cosmic re-work of Halsey’s New Americana. The track, which he simply titles “(hlsy flip)” takes us on an epic sonic voyage. It begins peacefully, with the pattering serenity of rain. Despite its halcyon effect, you can feel that something is hanging in the air. Something is looming, about to break and surge. As our excitement grows, an urgency sets in. We take off with ye., his choppy synths and gritty bass kick starting us into high gear. Before we know it, we’ve arrived in a world far more dark and visceral than we’d first expected, and it’s indescribably exhilarating, if not full on liberating. But the storm clears for brief moments and we’re left with the calm of the rain and a crisp clarity. Halsey obviously meant for New Americana to represent a modern generation. But the truth is, this generation is complicated. The gravity of this fact is encapsulated in ye.’s far more swift and somber, dynamic and shifting interpretation of the hit song.

16 year old producer Pluto released his very first EP earlier this year, and he’s obviously poised to take the electronic scene by storm as the gifted young artist spellbinds endless new fans with his latest track, Breath, a collaboration with his buddy ye., a talented newcomer himself. The chopping, slicing, and percolating instrumental track is absolutely intoxicating, so much so and such a bustling fashion, you just might forget to breathe. Breath is like a What So Not and Odesza fusion of grittiness and the ethereal. The sensationally scintillating track is a free download, here.
