San Diego surf rock & noise rock legends WAVVES have teamed up with San Francisco’s own Culture Abuse on a massive new punky stomping garage rock jam named Up And Down. The two groups are actually on a co-headlining tour together alongside Joyce Manor, so it’s rather fitting that they’ve come together on such a fabulously shimmering and fuzzy riffing charmer. Up And Down is a head bopping, toe tapping Monday morning treat. It leaves us convinced our week’s going to be a great one. Grab Up And Down from iTunes, here.

Good news and great tunes sure ran rampant this morning. Aside from fresh music from The Drums, San Diego’s Wavves also let loose some new treats from forthcoming album You’re Welcome. The title track is as fuzzy as they come, a gnarly bellowing pop punk meets noise rock anthem on which Nathan Williams predicts quite accurately that we’d want to say thank you for the track. Daisy, which you can stream below, is the knobby infectious, chunky clamoring second tune they’ve decided to gift us today. You’re Welcome is expected to arrive on May 19th via Ghost Ramp. Wavves will be touring for the new album from April to June. Pre-order You’re Welcome, here.

We’re currently in the midst of a few weeks of crazy album releases. There’s no way I’m going to be able to keep up with everything that’s arrived at my doorstep and will be arriving soon, but what a glorious sets of music are coming our way. On October 2nd, Wavves joins the melee with his new album V, from which we’ve already bopped our heads and lost it to so many good tunes. Now, Nathan Williams has revealed punchy new tune Pony. This one feels a little more saccharine and a bit more swirly, with a sliver of WATERS and Bleachers, despite its usual surf punky scuzz.

My goodness, Wavves are just killing it with their new tunes. I can’t help but share each and every new reveal this past month, including this one, Heavy Metal Detox. The San Diego surf punk band serve up their scuzzy fuzzy sound plentifully on the sundrenched moper. It’s the third spectacular tune we’ve heard from Wavves’ new album, V, releasing October 2nd on Ghost Ramp / Warner Bros. It’s obviously going to be a fantastic release. Wavves will be touring in support of V this fall, with a stop right here in San Francisco at Bimbo’s on September 10th.

Wavves revealed another scuzzy, fuzzy tune off their forthcoming album, V. The San Diego surf punk band fills Flamezesz with plenty of angsty spirit and head banging percussion. Flamezesz seems extra whimsical, even for Wavves, and it’s infinitely catchy, too. 90′s grunge and a carefree air invites us to throw all caution to the wind and start launching ourselves in the air to the clashy tune. V is set to drop on October 2nd via Ghost Ramp / Warner Bros.

San Diego surf punkers Wavves roar back on to the scene with raunchy, boisterous Too Much. The scuzzily rocking pop punk gem is infinitely catchy, a welcome return and magnificently frenzied taste off the quartet’s next full length album. Seems it’s going to be a busy rest of the year for Wavves, considering they’re also collaborating with Cloud Nothings on an album.

San Diego surf rockers Wavves released this video for their song That’s On Me. Have any of you seen that “live action” Fruit Ninja home video clip on YouTube? This totally reminds me of that, but with some odd other dimension metal head version of band lead Nathan Williams. Oh and add in  some butchering of what looks to be some really odd cuts of meat and some hungry cheerleaders. The lo-fi, noisy That’s On Me is off of Wavves’ recent album Afraid of Heights.

How’s about some great new Wavves? Here’s the new, super twisted clip for Afraid of Heights from Nathan William’s surf rock project. It’s the rollicking title track off their fourth studio album, which came out today.
