Florescent rippling synthpop and smoky burning R&B entraps the heart and never lets it go as we dive full force into the driving magnificence of Numb, the latest from Los Angeles by way of the Bay trio Wake The Wild. Numb is the perfect song to take us into the weekend. Despite its poignant & introspective moodiness, Numb is also an exhilarating adventure brimming with luscious synths and creamy cooing. “Every weekend we get numb numb numb…” Perhaps this weekend will be no different. And so the destructive cycle begins yet again. Recklessness, debauchery, heartbreak, regret…. Watch the video for Numb below. The single is out now via AWAL/KOBALT.

Pulse couldn’t have been a better choice for Bay Area native and Los Angeles based trio Wake The Wild’s new song. This rich melodic cocktail of swooning Childish Gambino, Frank Ocean, and Theophilus London has me dancing circles around the room and melting away all at the same time. Pulse is luxurious and chic, seductive and electrifying, an airy sumptuous mixture of electropop, R&B, funk, and summer dance vibes. The song is this intriguing new act’s second single, and it explores the sensual emotions of meeting someone new. Snag this swanky jam, here.

Though this song is named Touch The Ground, it really leaves me an urge to dance on the ground, which I suppose is a form of touch, too. The summery bright dance pop song comes from a four piece from Los Angeles named Wake The Wild. Touch The Ground is a breezy light, melodic airy treat. The spectacularly electrifying and fuzzy warm song carries the spryness of RAC, the glow of Great Good Fine OK, and the palm tree dance party vibes of Goldroom or Viceroy. Wake The Wild’s debut single is available now on iTunes.
