Lana Del Rey slayed when she sold out the cavernous Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco on her Lust For Life tour a few weeks ago. To put it succinctly, Kansas City beats maker VALENTINE and fellow Los Angeles producer Rob Araujo also slay on this dusky glimmering, dreamy warbling, & ethereal skittering remix of Lana’s title track off her chart topping album. It’s a whimsically intricate future beats extravaganza on their re-imagined version of the sultry pop song. Go on a magical and fantastical journey with VALENTINE and Rob Araujo. Their remix is a free download, here.

Warped, droning synths and other worldly ripples welcome us into what feels like an augmented reality, or a dream within a dream, on this astounding remix of VALENTINE and 4AM’s recent single Us, featuring Naji. The original’s sanguine spirit and glitchy vivacious, frothy warbling elements get a cosmic future bass makeover by Yitaku and Xavi. We’re rocketed across both space and time by this Porter Robinson and K?D reminiscent treatment, a breathtaking sojourn whose iridescent flickers and celestial tremolos leaves us vibrating in an alternate plane of existence, where castles fly high in the sky and nothing is impossible. We never want to leave this reverie. It fills us with youthful wonder and endless hope. You can download this gorgeous remix for free, here.

We’re long past Valentine’s Day, but we’re more than happy to accept a valentine from Liverpool three piece HAARM, who’ve delighted us with their fusion of electro tinged trip hop and pop in the past. Jaunty new single Valentine arrives with much percussive rolling energy after HAARM’s prior singles have gone viral, racking up over 250K plays on Spotify in but a few months. Valentine will surely continue this trajectory with its spacey synths and contagiously peppy rhythm.

Commenting on the track, the band said: “The song is about a purely sexual relationship, but there’s always that one person that wants it to become something more – it’s a classic unrequited love story. We like to open up with this one when we play live, so we made sure it was our first song at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend and on the Bloc Party support dates.” HAARM will be playing their first ever headlining hometown show on October 13th at The Magnet in Liverpool. Their new single will hit the shelves on September 15th.

It’s been about two weeks since Kansas City producer VALENTINE joined forces with New York’s 4AM to dazzle us with glitchy buoyant Moving Castle debut Us. It’s some very different vibes that this obviously versatile and dexterous producer gives us on his new offering, a dark and complex collaboration with Argentina’s Halpe. They unite to give Jai Wolf’s Like It’s Over a polyrhythmic remix that oscillates between haunting extremes. VALENTINE and Halpe’s Like It’s Over starts off viscous and visceral, before it launches into twisted jabbing, frenetic whizzing urgency. The bass shuddering implosion it undergoes is spine tingling. Ghostly optics, spectral blips, and murky interludes add to the hypnotic yet adrenaline pumping effect of this revolutionary trap and bass remix, which is a free download, here.

Moving Castle has been at the forefront of electronic innovation in recent years, even creating a fan out of producer and international superstar Skrillex. Aside from the recently rousing post-EDM that the collective has been presenting to us from exciting emerging talent SAKIMA, Moving Castle also has this glitchy vivacious, sprightly recoiling suffusion of light airy fun to keep us elatedly enthralled. New York’s 4AM links up with Kansas City’s VALENTINE on glitchy buoyant Us, which features Naji on guest vocals. Sanguine spirited Us is a fanciful dazzler brimming with feel good vibes and cosmic wonder. The sweetly sparkling, melodic lilting single is available, here.

We may be in the thick of winter with February a distant dream, but I nearly want to ask Kansas City’s VALENTINE to be my own Valentine after the producer’s taken me on a rather epic journey on his latest remix. The enthralling edit he gives Nashville electronic trio BASECAMP’s beautifully haunting, deeply wrenching recent single In Stone shakes me to the core with gritty lurching, dubstep quivering future bass. Despite its relentless flurry of textured electronics, there’s an organic quality to VALENTINE’s chiseled remix that synchronizes with the heart and soul, jarring both into harmony with the throbbing thriller of a jam. The original may be named In Stone, but there’s nothing rigid and stagnant here. This is an ever fluxing, potent shifting exhilarant.

Moving Castle production talent Kid Froopy gave us a misty grooving, pastel cottony jewel named “bb (four missed texts)” last month, blending retro R&B with perky cascading future electronica, reminding me of Janet Jackson, Blood Orange, and Shura in the process but deeply seated in an ethereal enthralling soundscape. Moving Castle has prepared an eargasmic official remix package for us, from which comes this ripe sawing, bubbly fizzing edit by Kansas City production whiz VALENTINE. I’m likely missing a whole load of texts while lost in this labyrinthian delight, but I don’t care. This other worldly spasm of twinkling, sparkling effects is utterly inebriating and thoroughly enthralling. Grab the track for free, here. Purchase the full remix EP, which also features remixes by WRLD and DZZ, from various outlets, here.

This isn’t new, but in the spirit of the day, and many may have missed this back in 2011 when Jessie Ware hadn’t blown up yet and Sampha/SBTRKT wasn’t as huge.

Oops, I must have missed this one on Tuesday. Here’s The Big Sleep’s Valentine. It’s a great, upbeat indie pop rock track from the Brooklyn indie outfit off their new album Nature Experiments.
