We could certainly use a dose of peppy bright, playful jaunting indie pop right about now. Lucky for us, Two Year Vacation is here to save the day. The Swedish band takes us on a jangling three minute vacation with Better Off Alone, a sunshine and blue skies sort of infectious treat that fuses Gorillaz like breeziness, Peter Bjorn and John like peppiness, and a touch of Jagwar Ma kaleidoscopic electronic aesthetic. Better Off Alone comes from the band’s sophomore EP, Science Fiction, due out later this month on November 25th.
