IDGAF is without a doubt an endearing and infectious pop song, but my love for the Dua Lipa single grew ten fold after I watched her BBC Radio Live Lounge session a few weeks ago. With beloved artists Charli XCX, Zara Larsson, MØ, and Alma in tow, she belted out the resolute anthem and gave us a sweet dose of fierce girl power. Los Angeles production duo Two Friends has given IDGAF a high voltage future bass remix that befits the original’s attitude and strength. You won’t be able to resist dancing and singing along, all at the same time. Dynamic drum lines and heart stopping drops permeate Two Friends’ high octane edit, which is a free download, here.

It’s a bi-coastal affair as we’re rocketed to cloud nine by this uplifting remix of Two Friends’ Emily, featuring James Delaney, by NYC production talent Zack Martino and Los Angeles duo BEAUZ. An island breeze and rays of golden sunshine permeate the track’s adrenaline pumping mixture of progressive house, melodic dubstep, and future bass. Zack Martino and BEAUZ’s vigorously lurching, synth whirring edit is a free download, here. You can also stream this eruption of sweet euphoria on Spotify, here.

Passion Pit’s Sleepyhead will no doubt go down as one of the best indie hits of all time, and a very influential one at that. Los Angeles electronic duo Two Friends surprise us with a sensational remix of that Michael Angelakos’ classic, and I haven’t been able to stop listening to the edit since it surfaced several days ago. Two Friends’ lively jouncing, bright lurching future bass and chill trap interpretation is electricity in my veins and joy in my heart. Their remix is a free download, here.

I first heard about Two Friends when they remixed a childhood favorite of mine, Blink 182′s ‘I Miss You’. Since then I have learned that Two Friends are no strangers to reimagining songs that I like. Honestly I haven’t really paid attention the original version of Steve Aoki and Louis Tomlinson’s ‘Just Hold On’ but I’m glad that Two Friends did a remix. It got me curious when they’d be visiting San Francisco again and it turns out they’ll be at Ruby Skye Friday April 8th. Perhaps they’ll be at The Do Lab?

Exit Friendzone and Two Friends collaborated on a riveting original named Overdose last fall, one which we still can’t get out of our heads today (and gladly so, too). Overdose, which features soulful vocals by Natalola, has since received some magnificent remix treatments, out altogether as an official remix package. Chicago by way of New Orleans producer CRWNS presents us with one of my favorite jams out of the four track release, a tremolo future bass and trap edit bursting with brisk vivacious energy. The beauty of the original is left unscathed while CRWNS dresses it in resplendent new threads on his spirited darting, swift bounding edit. You can stream the rest of the Overdose remixes, which includes additional re-works by Sokko, Jameston Thieves, and Jinco, in full on Soundcloud.

If there’s any pop princess who’s cool, it’s Tove Lo, so full of saucy sass and fearless confidence. The Swedish chanteuse has held us under her spell from the very start, and it’s such a delight to see her achieve the level of success we always knew she would. As Tove Lo continues to ride the success of her second album, we turn to Two Friends for an airy lifting re-imagination of hit single Cool Girl. It doesn’t get more cool than this. The LA duo infuse the song with carbonated future bass and warm vibrant strings. There’s no denying the lure of this melodic brisk remix. It’s a whisk of fresh invigoration, so weightless and lithe. Cool Girl has never been more buoyant and comforting, liberating and freeing.

The Killers’ Mr. Brightside is easily one of the greatest, most memorable anthems of the 2000′s. Perhaps it’s how catchy it is, or perhaps it’s the universal anguish captured so thoroughly within the song, a timeless ode to jealousy and heartbreak. Though we’ve all heard it a million times over, I’m betting you haven’t quite heard it this way yet. Los Angeles electronic duo Two Friends thrill our ears with a throwback remix of Mr. Brightside that turns it into a quivering future bass epic. Two Friends sweeps me right off my feet with this welcome Mr. Brightside revisit. Their remix is a free download, here.

It’s an epic vibing house aria that Toronto’s Exit Friendzone and Two Friends presents us with on their new original collaboration, Overdose, which features spectacularly soulful, passionately riveting vocals by Natalola. Overdose is as much as an adrenaline rush as it is a heart rending dance track, a mightily infectious ode to how powerful and dangerous it could be to fall for someone obsessively. It’s almost ironic that a song about the pitfalls of burning infatuation comes by way of two talented production acts named Exit Friendzone and Two Friends. Snag this high soaring, vigorous gripping anthem from various outlets, here.

The steady stream of terrific remixes of The Chainsmokers’ Halsey featuring Closer continues as Southern California’s Two Friends and Class & Clowns team up on another dazzling edit of the much renovated tune. Their light plucky approach is heart warming and endearing, an incandescent fluxing future bass and summery dance transformation with a smidgen of blistering dubstep. Closer has quickly become the most remixed track of the year, with Major Lazer’s Cold Water a close second. Considering the quality of these edits, I’m not complaining.
