[PREMIERE] MUSIC VIDEO: Tuskany – Thursday

Irish indie electro duo Tuskany unleashed a scorching hot summer dance funk anthem named Thursday last month. Today, they give it a dazzling visual accompaniment. This stylishly modern music video, directed by Tommy Keery, is an eye popping invitation into a live performance of Thursday. Its sleek minimalist aesthetic is a fitting companion to Thursday’s shiny smooth synths and sexy snapping beats. The Belfast duo gives off plenty of Metronomy like charm, peppered with the swaggering allure of Friendly Fires and the cheeky magnetism of Two Door Cinema Club. Tuskany leaves us with no choice but to get up and dance to their punchy vibrant jam. We could only dream of a Thursday as suave dashing and dapper cool as the one Tuskany yearns for on their song. Sure, we might not be in Paris, or maybe not in Rome, but Tuskany’s Thursday is a sweet escape in itself.

From the very first moment I tasted the sonic nectar of Tuskany’s new single Thursday, I was lost. Lost to its ripe pumping beats, wavey 80′s heat, and luscious funk. Thursday arrives as the latest single from this must pay heed Belfast duo, a summer dance anthem irresistibly sexy glam. It sizzles and swoons with its Metronomy gone dance rock vibrancy and Friendly Fires gone French house velour. Some also compare Tuskany’s opulent music to Two Door Cinema Club meets Earth Wind and Fire meets M83. One things certain, there’s no sitting still to this dashing jam.

Funky slick, tropical lush synthpop, what’s not to love about Tuskany’s Shapes? Shapes is the latest from the Belfast based indie pop act, and they’ve entrapped me with their song’s punchy melody and soaring falsettos. Sweltering guitar and crashing drums add to the song’s magnetic vibrancy, making this a sultry romancer, one whose extra glossy fusion of Mystery Jets, Strange Talk, and Penguin Prison us utterly irresistible. Is it getting hot in here or is it just me?
