I apologize for making you wait for this share. After all, I’ve been astounded and awe-struck by mysterious newcomer ilo ilo’s wait for many days now. And I regret that it took me awhile to find the time to share the electronic debut, whose island luster, breezy steel pans, and nimble future beats remind me of Mura Masa and Cashmere Cat. It’s a heckuva first release from what I’m assuming is a much gifted producer, but please correct me if this is a group and not just one artist. All that’s listed on Soundcloud is a number I haven’t tried to dial yet (808.202.2690), and an instagram account you can check out, here. wait can also be streamed via Spotify, here.

“Over you” is probably something I’ll never say to Enschway and this swaggering new jam the Sydney producer just dropped last Friday. Over U is a track that immediately grabs hold of you with its vocal hooks before shoving you into a world so vibrant and electrifying you simply can’t escape its tempestuous, impassioned grasp. Fresh off his Australia tour with RL Grime, DJ and producer Enschway continues proving himself one of the hottest bass music exports out of Australia right now with this creative future bass emulsion. From balmy, island-y euphoria to sleek shuddering, bass heavy exhilaration, Over U’s got you covered. It even features Yeah Boy (Johnny Castro of Parachute Youth). You can snag Over U, here.

I just can’t get enough of these official remixes of Lorde’s Perfect Places that have been springing up lately! The White Panda gave us a bright thrumming, electro swelling indie dance and melodic house edit a week ago. Whethan’s remix of the track was nothing short of brilliant, a frothy brisk future trap take on the hit Melodrama track. And now, Australian duo Peking Duk takes my breath away with their ravishing remix, a sanguine lifting, saccharine rich tropical trap approach on the tune. The high flying edit is Peking Duk’s first remix in four years!

Ed Sheeran’s recent single Shape Of You is beyond a doubt the most remixed tune of the month. From the very first Monday after its new music Friday release, we’ve been deluged with Shape Of You remixes, some of them mediocre, some of them stand out enthrallers. Mysterious production project it’s different makes a welcome return to IHM with a chime glimmering Shape Of You. Dancehall beats, blaring brass effects, and island vibes abound on this summer breezy tropical trap take on the beloved tune. Major Lazer meets Mura Masa on this delectable treat, a free download, here.

A few days ago, I encountered an immense tune that blew me away. That tune is Hae Bae, by a young 19 year old producer from Italy named Kharfi. Hae Bae takes us into a deep pool of beautiful future trap and chill tropical bliss. The finely textured song is both thrilling and soothing, a richly luxuriant and atmospheric sweeping aria. It’s no wonder Kharfi has been gaining much support from the likes of Diplo, Kiesza, The Chainsmokers, and Don Diablo. Kharfi is one to watch. Just listen to his radiantly summery remix of Galantis’ No Money below. Download Hae Bae for free, here.
