One more The Weeknd bonus track

November 9, 2012

Y’all ready for another new preview from The Weeknd? It’s the last bonus track from coming Trilogy release. Till Dawn (Here Comes the Sun) is probably the most energetic, least thick track from the past few days of endless The Weeknd releases, and it makes the song stand out. There’s more hop in this track. I really like the melody on this one and it may very well be my favorite bonus Trilogy track. Abel Tesfaye’s voice seems different on this track with a crystal clear Michael Jackson-esque sound.

OFFICIAL VID: The Weeknd – The Zone feat. Drake

November 8, 2012

Lana Del Rey wasn’t the only one who chose to drop a video in the evening hours of the day. Earlier in the evening, Abel Tesfaye, aka The Weeknd, releaed the video for his collaboration The Zone with Drake. It’s the second offering of the day, since he previewed Trilogy track Valerie earlier in the day. I can only imagine how much more we’re going to hear about the producer and seductive R&B singer once that combo release of all his previous mixtapes finally drops, bonus songs and all.

Yesterday, we got to hear The Weeknd’s Twenty Eight. Today, we get another preview of few unreleased bonus tracks on the coming Trilogy compilation. It’s yet another seductive slow jam with Abel Tesfaye crooning away. I have a feeling Trilogy is going to be the soundtrack for a lot of bedroom activities…

New The Weeknd

October 26, 2012

Trilogy hasn’t even dropped yet and Toronto bedroom producer Able Tesfaye already has a new song for us. Enemy won’t be on Trilogy’s bonus material. The song is a gorgeous r&b track from The Weeknd. Listen closely, you might notice a little tribute to the Smiths. On a related unrelated note, Morrissey just postponed the rest of his US tour. To give him credit, it’s due to his mother’s health back in England. But no big surprise on the postponement, eh? I gave up on getting Morrissey tix and seeing him live the last time he pulled a postponement and cancellation on us.
