My heart leaped with joy when I saw that Parade Of Lights has finally returned. It’s been a few years since their album Feeling Electric arrived to keep us endlessly ensnared with its effulgent alt pop and buoyant synthpop. The LA quartet make a dashing re-entrance with Touch, a bright luscious, perky glittering burst of 80′s inspired pop rock. Touch’s glittery synths are coupled with an iridescent dance floor energy, making it the perfect shiny shimmering, heart liquefying summer anthem. Touch is out now via Astralwerks.

It’s been a long wait after a whirlwind beginning with that sensational debut named Stuck, but The Aces are finally on the cusp of releasing their debut EP. On June 23rd, the buzz sensations from Utah will be releasing I Don’t Like Being Honest on Red Bull Records. The quartet, made up of sisters Cristal (lead vox/guitar) and Alisa Ramirez (drummer) as well as guitarist Katie Henderson and bassist McKenna Petty, are already working on their debut full length, too! You can trust me when I say that they’re fabulous live. I was lucky enough to manage a SXSW showcase that featured the four piece in its fabulous lineup. We’re pumped for The Aces’ EP, and our excitement amplifies as we twirl around the room to Touch, a propulsive pumping eruption of irresistibly springing, lambent rocking pop. You can grab the single from iTunes, here.

Woodson Black is at it again, moving us with his poignant stirring dream folk and ambient electronica as Haux. We can’t help but move our bodies to his new song Touch as he imbues his usual atmospheric soothing, cinematic sprawling sound with a light, sensuous groove. Touch is a bittersweet ode to heartbreak. The tender beauty drips with longing and regret. Haux might as well be singing about us on the song. He breaks us down with his “touch”. Haux will be kicking off his North American headlining tour in Boston on April 25th. Find out more about the tour, here. Touch is available as a single, here.

We’re welcomed into this psychedelic gem from SoCal’s Paloma by a dusty swaying charm, one that feels quintessential to our quixotic vision of California. There’s a faded dreaminess to be found on Touch. We feel as if we’re waking up from a long sleep, discovering the world anew, and everything feels a bit surreal and hazy, like a mirage. Paloma tags their song as “spook psych”. Though there’s nothing scary to be found here, there the cinematic alt piece indeed haunting. It lightly draws its sonic fingers across our skin with a muggy groove. Touch is the first song to be released from Paloma’s forthcoming debut EP, Luna, out this April 28th, and the narrative found on Touch will continue into the next songs lifted from that record.

There’s no denying the surging infectiousness of this next one, a new tune from Nashville based pop duo Truitt. The sibling duo who grew up in Florida have been building a fan base on social media for four years, but with Touch, they make it official and prove they’re a pop band with something to say as well as the talent to “say” it well. Touch walks a fine line between electronic pop and dance, its energetic friskiness and warm melodic allure making it an endearing earworm that moves both heart and body. Truitt’s new music is a collaboration with Floridian producer Jon Santana. Touch is available now on iTunes.

I can never resist Tobtok’s crisp disco beats and summery radiant house. The Swedish producer gives British duo Tough Love’s Touch, featuring Arlissa, the zippy dance treatment for his latest remix. Tough Love and its frisky strings don Clean Bandit like attire on the bright twirling tropical delight. Tobtok’s playful and blithe remix is available now from iTunes.

An international trifecta of production talent merge on a beast of an epic song named Touch. Russia’s Tapecut, Amsterdam’s Creepa, and Argentina’s Dabow combine full force on a dramatically vibrant journey. Touch sends shivers up my spine as I sit in intense excitement at the edge of my seat. Hard hitting bass, exotic melody, slamming beats, cinematic strings, dirty trap, this one has it all. I alight into a fantasy world alternating between swampy, slushy carnage and heart moving, tender beauty. Touch will be on Tapecut, Creepa, and Dabow’s forthcoming “Family” tape out April 27th. Anybody who’s been following along on IHM knows that I’m very much in love with Shura’s music. Essential Shura hit Touch has received the remix treatment, and by none other than ever brilliant producer Four Tet. The sensual pop ballad song goes sparkling club floor ready on Kieran Hebden’s pumping edit, sending me into blissful dance revelry. Four Tet’s Touch ripples and undulates beautifully over its thumping bass, propelled by Shura’s exquisite voice. Stream Four Tet’s version of Touch on Spotify above or Soundcloud below. The remix is available now from iTunes.

By now, long time IHM followers know that I’m much a devout Shura fan, having followed along with every Shura release over the past couple years. Touch is undoubtedly a top favorite and a timeless beauty. Recently, a new version of the song was revealed for which a new video has surfaced today, too. Shura enlists Talib Kweli for the single, its delicate caress and dreamy mist now accompanied by additional rap verses by the Brooklyn hip hop artist. The visuals for this new Touch is an animated play on the original’s kiss heavy music video. On top of unfurling this fantastic treat, Shura has also announced that her highly anticipated debut album will be named Nothing’s Real, and it is finally finished. Excuse me for a moment, as I must get up and happy dance my way around the room several times to this news.

Scottish dark pop songstress KLOE makes a dramatic return with new single Touch, a provocative song that immediately reminded me why I’ve been much excited about this blooming artist since a year ago. Touch is only her third song in as much time, but it’s perhaps her most magnificent so far. The singer songwriter delivers sweetly coquettish vocals over a grandly soaring arrangement of powerful electronic pop. Be sure not to miss this if you’re one of the many devout fans of Halsey, Tove Lo, or Melanie Martinez.
