To be honest, I had no idea that new Tors music dropped several days ago until a few moments ago, when Soundcloud decided it would be wise to auto-play the British trio’s latest single. I sat straight up in my chair as my ears perked skywards and my eyes became big round saucers. Soundcloud is perceptive and shrewd indeed, because not only do we love Tors’ earthy, folksy rock, but Won’t Remember is a high flying, earnest stirring spectacular! The heartfelt ballad was written about Alzheimer’s and the heartbreaking travails related to the degenerative affliction. Despite the agonized sentiment behind anthemic Won’t Remember, it’s an incredibly lifting and inspiring song. Won’t Remember is a guiding light, a much needed injection of hope. Let darkness not prevail. Won’t Remember is lifted from Tors’ brand new EP Wilder Days, available here.

It’s officially spring as of three days ago, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t still prime time to melt to your heart’s content to Tors’ autumnal harmonies and pastoral folk rock. The British three piece, whose members have written music for a wide array of television series and other artists in the past, continue to make a deep impact back home in the UK with their ardent hymnals by releasing We Say No. The bittersweet but cathartic anthem about mental health struggles (depressing and anxiety) feels like early Kodaline gone reedy then adorned with Bear’s Den’s heart bursting atmospherics. The single arrives just after Tors completed their sold out UK tour with Tom Walker. The band has also announced their upcoming EP Wilder Days as well as a debut appearance at The Great Escape. It’s obvious Tors has a huge year ahead of them, and we’ll be gladly watching and listening to their adventures. Keep up with Tors on Facebook, here.

Pastoral autumn harmonies and verdant lifting folk come our way via Tors, a British three piece whose members have written tracks in the past for acclaimed television series Skins and even for Korean & Japanese pop bands, too. Lately, the trio have been making a massive impact in the UK, garnering attention from the likes of BBC Introducing, 6Music, and RadioX. It’s no wonder they’ve captured the hearts of so many, considering how wonderfully invigorating and beautifully enthralling their new song Wilder Days is. It’s an ardent and fervent folk hymnal whose gloriously marching drums and evocative vocals are like The Lumineers dipped in The Head and the Heart’s dulcet glow. Tors has a big year ahead of them. They’re slated to play The Great Escape and a number of other UK festivals this year. Grab Wilder Days from digital retailers, here.
