Come tomorrow, a bevy of fantastic EPs drop, including the latest from Danish electronic producer Tomas Barfod. Off Glory comes an entrancing beauty named Fill Me, which features divine vocals by Fine from recently buzzing Danish trio CHINAH. Fill Me is an esoteric gem. It percolates as much as it’s fluid, all the while brimming with somber contemplation and hypnotizing with an ethereal haze.

Tomas Barfod remix of SomeKindaWonderful’s Reverse

Danish producer Tomas Barfod has taken on a song I’ve been loving very, very much for some time now. Barfod brings his electronic beats to Cleveland alt poppers SomeKindaWonderful’s debut single Reverse. It’s a mesmerizing remix that retains the original’s catchy chorus, but it also turns it into a dance floor ready hypnotic jam to groove around to with reckless abandon. As for the original, if you haven’t heard it around yet, you’re going to, but check it out first below the remix. It’s such a magnificent, romantic, epic, powerful, beautiful gem with some classic 60’s soul and R&B flavors in its anthemic alt rock sound. It’s a helluva stellar debut by SomeKindaWonderful. Is this song going to be huge? I think so!

OFFICIAL VID: Tomas Barfod – Happy (feat. Eddie Chacon)

March 20, 2014

There’s a new video out for Danish producer Tomas Barfod’s Happy, featuring Eddie Chacon, so here we are again, listening to the tune together. The synthy yet subtle house tune is the title track off Barfod’s new EP, out now on Secretly Canadian. The lyrics and undertone of the song is so dang melancholic with its forceful optimism. I dig that. Lots. It’s like a big F you to the lows. We could all use that sometimes.

OFFICIAL VID: Tomas Barfod – Pulsing (feat. Nina K)

Danish producer Tomas Barfod is certainly making a big impression on me lately with excellent electronic songs like the previously featured Pulsing, featuring Nina K on haunting, gorgeous vocals. The song lives up to its name with its mesmerizing, pulsing synths, paired with an irresistible melody, all in harmony with a soft, bouncing beat. Pulsing is the title track off what’s shaping up to be an excellent EP, out February 18 on Secretly Canadian. Today, Tomas released a great music video for the tune.

Danish producer Tomas Barfod has been giving us some really dope tracks lately. A few weeks ago we heard Pulsing, featuring Nina K on vocals, a bright, sparkling, and warm electronic pop song with very Scandinavian overtones. I love it. Now, he’s teamed up with syrupy voiced Eddie Chacon on a much more sensual and R&B inflected mid tempo dance song named Happy. The song will also be on the Happy EP out February on Secretly Canadian.
