Here’s a dark, somber new tune from Chelsea Wolfe off her upcoming new album Sargent House dropping on October 16th. The new LP is titled Unknown Rooms: A Collection Of Acoustic Songs, and this track is The Way We Used To. It’s an acoustic rock piece filled with a doom-folk sound. Though this song (and probably the whole upcoming LP) is a lot less electric, the creepy, haunting feel ¬†of her usual work is not at all less omnipotent in the music. Ms. Wolfe plans on releasing yet another album in 2013 which will lean even harder towards the electronic than her previous work. It’s pretty cool how she’s creating different sounds with every release, yet never losing sight of her own signature style and expression.
