The latest treat revealed off of OIM Records’ next compilation release is a fantastic track from another talented local band. Get It Right Now comes from Oakland’s The Tambo Rays, and it’s a perky hooking pop rock jewel. This duo consists of members from WATERS, another terrific San Francisco band (now re-located to Southern California) oft praised on IHM. As The Tambo Rays, this pair gives us glistening warm, shimmer vivacious pop that recalls the mid-’00s days of Shout Out Louds and Metric. Get It Right Now is zestful and addictive, bouncy and fun. OIM: Vol. 11 is shaping up to be another sublime compendium of indie brilliance. Pre-order the compilation ahead of its July 22nd release date from Bandcamp or OIM Records.
