The Aces continue to drive our excitement for their debut album to new towering heights as they reveal yet another gem off the forthcoming release. The all-female Utah band has had a meteoric rise since their debut with Stuck, and they’ve been a steady source of enamoring pop rock since. The latest preview from When My Heart Felt Volcanic is a slick, crisp rock meets 80s inspired pop breakup-song named Just Like That. Their sure to be chart climbing debut album arrives April 6th on Red Bull Records. Just Like That is available as a single, here.

Just a few posts prior, we eagerly shared COIN’s new single, Growing Pains, and talked about how the band is currently on their North American tour. Well, as if you need any more reason to go out and catch the fellows, The Aces are touring with the Nashville quartet, too. The all female Utah alt pop band delighted us with news of their highly anticipated debut album When My heart Felt Volcanic the other day, and now they enthrall us with new single Volcanic Love, too. It’s a shimmering, glistening alt pop piece that melds MUNA, HAIM, and Pale Waves altogether into its sleek guitars and honeyed but peppy vocals. Pre-order The Aces’ debut album, here, and get an instant download of Volcanic Love.

We’ve been huge fans of all-female The Aces ever since they made their debut with utterly infectious Stuck, and we were ecstatic when Red Bull Records picked up the four piece from Utah. In fact, we were even fortunate enough to help manage an official SXSW showcase last year where I was privy to one of their first live performances.  So we’re definitely celebrating the fact that The Aces have announced their much anticipated debut album, When My Heart Felt Volcanic, slated to arrive on April 6th. With the news comes new song Fake Nice, which the band says is a favorite off their album. It represents the funkier side of their sound with its luscious guitar licks and peppy beats, rounded out with breathy, honeyed vocals. Fake Nice is a must for fans of bands like HAIM and MUNA (like me, obviously).  The Aces explains of Fake Nice: “We wrote it about being from a smaller town and experiencing living in a big city for the first time while trying to navigate all the new personalities that come along with that.” The band will hit the road next month with COIN. The tour brings them to San Francisco on March 10th, when they play the legendary Fillmore. Snag Fake Nice from iTunes, here.

I’m truly blessed to have caught RAC a handful of times in less than a couple of months, with the last time less than a week ago at a super sold out Independent in San Francisco. It was a most glorious night as the Grammy winning producer and his gifted band played through old fan favorites and much of his recent album EGO, with various members filling in for the talented guests who appeared on the record. It always boggles my mind how an artist like RAC can be busy on tour yet have time to drop new remixes while on the road. I suppose it’s possible he crafted the tracks before the tour, but wasn’t he busy dropping half a dozen other tracks at the time? In anycase, RAC is back with a remix of one of our favorite rising pop bands, The Aces. He’s given infectious Stuck the signature RAC treatment, complete with larkish guitars and luscious dance pop beats. There’s no being “stuck” here… Everything is fluid, including our dance moves while we lose it to the expert re-work, so luminously lifting and radiantly blissful. Stream/download the official remix, here.

It’s been a long wait after a whirlwind beginning with that sensational debut named Stuck, but The Aces are finally on the cusp of releasing their debut EP. On June 23rd, the buzz sensations from Utah will be releasing I Don’t Like Being Honest on Red Bull Records. The quartet, made up of sisters Cristal (lead vox/guitar) and Alisa Ramirez (drummer) as well as guitarist Katie Henderson and bassist McKenna Petty, are already working on their debut full length, too! You can trust me when I say that they’re fabulous live. I was lucky enough to manage a SXSW showcase that featured the four piece in its fabulous lineup. We’re pumped for The Aces’ EP, and our excitement amplifies as we twirl around the room to Touch, a propulsive pumping eruption of irresistibly springing, lambent rocking pop. You can grab the single from iTunes, here.

The Aces hit the ground running over a year ago when the four piece emerged from Orem, Utah with their unforgettable debut, Stuck. The buzz that followed on its release was near deafening. The Aces was the talk of the tastemaker scene, yet instead of rushing anything out prematurely, they took their time to meticulously craft their next pop singles after signing to Red Bull Records. Though the wait was excruciating for fans, it was well worth it. Last month, Physical arrived. And now, we get to dance to the snappy beats and honeyed hooks emanating from today’s new treat, Baby Who. The infectious third single sits somewhere between MUNA’s warm summery synthpop and HAIM’s R&B inflected pop rock. Baby Who will be on The Aces’ debut EP, I Don’t Like Being Honest, set to hit the world on June 23rd. We expect it to be a pop highlight of the summer. Baby Who is available now from iTunes, here.

It’s been a very, very long wait, but it’s finally here! The Aces are back with their sophomore single! The Provo, Utah band blew everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, away when they swept on the scene with utterly infectious debut single Stuck early last year. They’ve since signed to Red Bull Records, under whose wings they must have been secretly honing their pop sensibility, because Physical is such a snappy hooking guitar pop jam! I had the pleasure of hearing this song live last month when I managed We Found New Music’s showcase at SXSW. I’m not going to lie, The Aces was definitely one of the acts on our lineup I was most excited to see. The four piece is a must if you’re a fan of the likes of Fleetwood Mac and HAIM, with an extra dose of funky groove. Snag the new tune from iTunes, here.
