I’m so excited over the fact that a new Little Dragon album is on its way that I’m just about ready to jump out of my own skin. The project has been a personal favorite for many years, and the arrival of woozy psychedelic High last month was a hint that something fresh was brewing in those Swedish waters. Sure enough, news of an album entitled Season High has arrived, and the band has revealed a frothy bubbling new single, too. Sweet is everything it sets out to be, a full on sugar high bursting with Yukimi Nagano sass. The wonky burbling, volatile vaulting dazzler comes with an eye popping music video, too. If you’ve ever wondered what it might be like to inject Little Dragon with some of Grimes’ splashy and eccentric theatrics, Sweet might be your answer. Though I’ve never been one with a sweet tooth, I can’t get enough of Sweet. Though they’ve yet to announce a San Francisco tour date, I can’t wait to see Little Dragon again, even if all they play is Sweet on repeat. I’ll dance all night long to this frisky song. I’m sure I won’t be able to peel my eyes away from Yukimi’s captivating dance moves in the meantime, too. Season High will be arriving on April 14th. Pre-order from iTunes, here.

Danish duo MORE have me wanting much more of MORE, after they’ve wooed me smoothly with smoldering electro soul song Sweet. The woozy bold song is the perfect blend of HONNE like sultriness, James Blake like sonic texture, and Safia like gooey electronic atmosphere. Sweet is a deep, restless ocean of sensual introspection.

It’s been a year since How To Dress Well blew everyone’s minds with his third studio album What Is This Heart, but Tom Krell makes a sudden re-appearance this week with a new video for album track Precious Love. It’s one of the most tender serenades off the critically acclaimed release, and its video reflects that saccharine sweetness to the max. This track always reminds me of early Janet Jackson, when she doled out her fleecy ballads in the 90′s. I suddenly have an urge to listen to Again, and then pop in What Is This Heart again for a full How To Dress Well re-visit.

Last week, I was incredibly happy to find out that Sam Endicott, the lead of The Bravery, has a new project going on with some folks from Los Angeles. The new project is named The Mercy Beat, and I featured their debut single Sweet with much zealousness. Today, The Bravery made the official announcement for Sam’s involvement in this new band. Sweet was a delicious, The Bravery evoking, dark wavey post punk tune. It was great to hear Sam’s voice again, being a long time The Bravery fan myself. Don’t worry, The Bravery isn’t disbanded, they’re just on some sort of hiatus with no known end point. They may be back someday. In the meantime, The Mercy Beat has unveiled another tune, the more upbeat and bright An Act Of Mercy. Sam Endicott shows off his falsetto on this one. Revisit Sweet below.

For the longest freaking time, I’ve been wondering what The Bravery, whom I loved very much in the 2000’s, has been up to and if they’re defunct now. This morning, I was basically informed about a new band by the name of The Mercy Beat. Turns out The Bravery frontman Sam Endicott is involved in this project. It’s with arms wide open that I welcome him back on their debut track Sweet. It’s so great to hear his voice again and on a similarly styled brooding, post-punk flavored, indie rock song. It’s a soothing, tasty gem that I’ve already listened to many times today.
