Floridian native Geneva White has only two singles under her belt since she made her debut with Dreamcatcher quite recently, but we’re also familiar with her voice from San Francisco producer Slaptop’s Another Life earlier this year. The singer songwriter and guitarist is no stranger to the music scene, having attended the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music and launched her career upon graduation. She even fronted the band Kan Wakan for awhile and opened for heavy weights like Royal Blood and Arctic Monkeys in the process. Surface is her most recent offering, a percussive rumbling, deeply evocative pop aria that feels both raw and smooth, as well as simultaneously sensual and bold. Her silky smooth voice certainly drives those effects. Surface is the title track from a debut EP arriving October 13th. Get blown away by her voice on debut single Dreamcatcher below, which is heavy on the simmering late night R&B pop & effervescent electronica vibes.

If you’re looking for something intergalactic to pump you up for the final bits of the weekend, Zephure’s going to rocket you right through the cosmos with his stunning remix of Pluto’s Nevve featuring Surface. The producer, who resides right here in the Bay in San Jose, first came to our attention with a magnificent edit of Bon Iver’s Holocene, which you can revisit below. This time around, he’s given Pluto’s Surface a synth swelling, beautifully evocative future bass makeover. Zephure’s remix is a free download, here.

Shallou’s back with more of his dusky, intoxicating electronic music. Surface is a song that carries much depth despite its name. Clattering percussion, gentle piano, and a chill atmosphere pair stirringly with Shallou’s soulful vocals. Despite mellow vibes, the song’s buoyant tempo gives it a sanguine warmth. At the end of the day, Surface will have you dancing around in pleasure.
