It’s Valentine’s Day and once again they are celebrating at a fancy local restaurant. As is tradition this place employs a live jazz band but the once intimate harmony of instruments has become a somber collection of guilty beats who mesh together, although beautifully, now out of obligation.

The meals have filled them to content but a portion remains on their plates. You can see it has been constantly picked at, and if they were to taste it they would feel the once sizzling plates have gone cold, only being heated now by the lone flickering candle light between them. He looks up at her, she at he. An exchange of brief smiles as their gaze shifts past each other to the other couples in vibrant lighting and lovely conversations.

The thought enters: Have we become the dining the dead? What am I missing?

Los Angeles based producer Stint seems to be everywhere these days! He just turned in some spectacular production duties on Gallant’s Weight In Gold, and now he’s showcasing his dark electronic wizardry again on British chanteuse Kyiki’s latest simmering electro pop gem, Black Light. As previously mentioned, Kyiki used to be a singer with Crystal Fighters before branching out on her riveting solo career. Black Light is a shadowy new track from that solo path, with an ethereal, haunting atmosphere and heaving, turbulent bass.

I have a hunger inside me to go see Gallant live, because I can only imagine how much more swooning and incredible the Los Angeles based artist might be in person. Just listen to his latest crooner, Weight In Gold, a spectacularly soulful and bluesy electronic ballad produced by always on point Stint, which first premiered as a Zane Low “World Exclusive” on Beats Radio 1/Apple Music today. That’s a pretty huge deal, considering today was the launch of Beats Radio. But then again, Gallant is a huge deal. He’s worth his weight in gold indeed, if you take into account his immaculate voice and riveting passion. In an age when The Weeknd and Sam Smith rule the world, Gallant is the new up and comer who exhibits qualities from both amazing artists, and then some.

Buzzing artist Gallant follows up on his recent stunner, Open Up, with another mind blowing future soul and alt R&B offering. Talking In Your Sleep quickly proves that the Los Angeles based artist is one to watch for 2015. Slinking, sultry crooning and a hip hop styled production by STiNT makes for a very swooning experience. If The Weeknd and Sam Smith jammed out together, with some of my favorite future bass producers of the moment, we might get a delicious treat like this one. Talking In Your Sleep is available now on Spotify.

This would be the second feature of the day in which STiNT is involved, so the producer is on a great roll. He offers up a lusciously sensual and resplendent remix of singer songwriter Niia’s Body. The end result is a gorgeous jam with an elegant groove and satiny flush. The edit flows flawless and smooth, like a Sade, Jessie Ware, and Shura fusion.

There’s no doubt that this is one massive return. Los Angeles based artist Gallant signed to Mind Of A Genius recently, where he’s now label mates with another amazing, Grammy nominated act, ZHU. Gallant’s first release on the label is a stunning tune that will have you reeling with its sensual vibes and wooing vocals. Open Up exhibits brilliant production by STiNT. It also showcases Gallant’s impeccable falsettos and flourish for delivering deeply emotional, ardent alternative R&B and future soul. Open Up is the sensational first track from Gallant’s forthcoming EP, due out this summer.

Considering all the incredible producers we’ve had coming at us from Australia and Europe, I’m more than happy that we’ve had our fair share of amazingly talented rising producers in the US, too, some of which create thrilling, intoxicating trap and future bass music that I happen to love very dearly. I featured Flaxo in my last post, who hails from New York, but now we return back to the West Coast with Stint. Stint surprises us with a bombastic, triumphant remix of Young The Giant’s Mind Over Matter, my favorite track off the band’s sophomore album. I never would have thought Young The Giant and electronic trap music would pair so well, but this is absolutely magnificent!

For some very atmospheric and enchanting chimes, strings, unique instruments, and future trap styled production, please turn to Stint’s spectacular, brilliant remix of Canadian artist Sebell’s Promiseland. It’s a magical, captivating experience which ebbs and flows between intense, thumping moments and elegant, delicate recessions.
