[PREMIERE] Steve James –

In My Head ft. RKCB

(Syence Remix)

Steve James united with velveteen R&B soul project RKCB on a sweet swooning original named In My Head earlier this year, delivering us one of the year’s most emotionally virile future beats ballads. As 2016 wraps up, it’s obvious we already have much to look forward to in 2017, such as a sure to be exhilarating official remix EP for In My Head. For the moment, I’m not ready for 2016 to end just yet. You see, we’re fortunate enough to get a taste of that remix EP right now, and that first delectable whiff is pure addictive euphoria. California DJ and production duo Syence has generously unveiled their beautiful rendition of In My Head early, and not only are my ears pleased by their slender chopping, airy slicing edit, but my heart fills to the brim on the remix’s sweet honeyed, warm glowing, and tender ethereal future pop vibes. The beautifully rhapsodic edit is a free download, here. For more of this gifted California duo’s electronic magic, check out their Soundcloud, here.

It was a match made in heaven when gifted rising production star Steve James linked up with satin melting indie outfit RKCB on a satin lilting future beats aria named In My Head earlier this year. The Hollywood producer takes his song on an cross ocean jaunt as he partners up with Sydney’s Joe Mason for a re-work of his own track. The two electronic artists mold the original into a creamy downtempo groover. In My Head simmers softly and burns gently, caressing us with tender chops and fleecy beats. The breathtaking remix arrived last month on Joe Mason’s 18th birthday. Happy belated birthday, Joe. Thanks for the transcendental sonic present you’ve given us alongside Steve James. Steve James and Joe Mason’s remix of In My Head is a free download, here.

Rising young producer Steve James proved himself a great composer of original pieces when he revealed his debut single, Renaissance, late last year. The twinkling, fluttering song features vocals by much buzzing songbird Clairity. Today, we get to revisit Renaissance, thanks to a remix by North Carolina’s Gill Chang. In a way, it’s ironic to remix a song named Renaissance, since it’s like a rebirth of a rebirth, or an awakening of an awakening. This Renaissance gets a regal magnificent rebirth on Gill Chang’ remix. It whomps spaciously, harmonizes beautifully, and chops with graceful vigor. The exhilarating future bass and chill trap inspired remix is a free download, here, just in time for summer.

Young Steve James has solidified himself in the past year as one of my top emerging producers to watch with his remixes, his production work for Justin Bieber, and his stunning debut original, Renaissance, featuring Clairity. It always amazes me how strong of a foothold these artists have on music at their youthful  age. Today, the Los Angeles based producer turns 18, and to celebrate, he’s released a remix of Australian talent Conrad Sewell’s Remind Me. Steve James’ indie dance edit of Remind Me lurches and bounces with radiant energy, its gorgeously uplifting soundscape a fine companion to Conrad Sewell’s spectacularly impassioned voice. The grand and glorious remix will be available on all major outlets come Friday, April 15th. Happy Birthday, Steve James, and thank you for your lavish present to us.

When rising producer Steve James first revealed his debut original, Renaissance, featuring Clairity, it was obvious to me that there was going to be a long line of stupendous remixes coming our way. What surprised me was that it took several months before the sudden onslaught to occur, though I suppose this has a lot to do with the timing of an official remix package just released. Let’s followup on the string of remixes shared this past week with the latest impressive edit, one by California electronic duo ARMNHMR. The two give us a melodically exhilarating rendition of Renaissance, one with colossal build ups and crushing trap drops. Head over to iTunes to purchase the Renaissance Remix EP.

Young Pittsburgh producer Steve James is widely considered one of electronic dance music’s rising stars in the scene. He’s produced for international superstar Justin Bieber, and his debut original Renaissance, featuring Clairity, only served to set those expectations into stone. A bevy of miraculous remixes of Renaissance has been surfacing lately as expected, and French producer Paxel may have just unleashed one of the most captivating edits, one full of wonder and youthful magic. The weightlessly buoyant, tropically funky future bass remix is melodic and radiant, a great escape of soothing feel good vibes. Purchase and download Paxel’s remix from various outlets, here.
